Its a great jacket. I wear the inner fleece this time of year and then put it all together when it gets colder. I'm 5'7" 160lbs and wear a medium in all of their stuff. Not sure if you'd need a small or not.

Great piece of gear, it's worth its weight on gold, I've been in cold weather for an extended of time as well as the cold rain in Jan-March. I am always warm, the jacket is totally waterproof, windproof. No complaints what so ever,
I live in indiana. This would be a very helpful jacket. Because between the months of September up until about mid April, we could experience all four seasons in a single week.
Good review, but my preference is your well lit 1080 detailed table top views...You just don't get the same detail without your great closeups. I do like seeing the clothing on so you can see what the fit and cut is like. Perhaps a combination of both? Great work and thanks!
Looks good. I had a 5.11 4 in 1 Patrol jacket. It has a more traditional look but not nearly as comfortable or practical as a more moden design like this one for duty wear. For milder but still cool climates like mine(Vancouver) the Sabre jacket is very good too. Lots of features.

@ALAPINO You should move to Modesto, CA and then you can stop by the 5.11 HQ and pick one up. Of course you likely won't need one in warm and sunny California.

It can cold here low 20s to mid10's in the dead of winter I wanted a lean looking jacket but still warm. I wear 2-3 layers under the jacket in extremes. Also my waist is 38 but i'm tall 6,4 ( 210 ) so i was thinking xl in "tall" for size. What do you think? I have to place a full order to 5.11 in a week. Thanks.

@snareman95 Don't get me wrong I still liked the review and the presentation really adds to a lot...I like where you are going with it. In previous reviews I had to look at the close ups then check out the fit videos later (5.11 pants for instance). I'm six foot and a hundred and sixty pounds, would you recommend the large or medium? I don't want it to be a tight uncomfortable fit with the sleeves being too short.
they have "tall" sizes which add 2 inches to the length of the sleeves and body, but not the chest width of course. You probably should get the large tall. medium tall might still be to short for you

I don't know how the US vs Euro sizes work, but my sizes (medium) with them have been pretty accurate with all of their stuff.

Its not too tight. I'd say you could fit a sweatshirt under it. And, if you take the inner jacket out and just use the shell its quite roomy. :-)
