I have them since one year in my 50 gallon and they're stunning. If you're in for the color, they can comfortably take the place even of reef-dwelling fish.
As some one who is wanting to get into the aquarium hobby and is looking to start off with some panda Cory’s prob around 6-8 and some neon Tetras in a 20 gallon tank. Anyone have any useful tips or information?
@@PrimeTimeAquatics oh absolutely. They're all gorgeous. I just wish I had at least one male. 🤣 my LFS usually has some in stock so I think I'll just have to get an adult male.
If I ever move out of this 2nd story apartment with warnings to firefighters that the second floors are weak, ill get a 75g with like 30 congo tetras, but I'm already not supposed to have the 55g. But I know all the maintenance guys. Heck one of them drinks beer on my couch watching TV sometimes. I don't mind they do a lot of extra things they don't have to. Things I physically can't do. But yeah congos are soooo beautiful. Yet not tacky beautiful like glo-fish (sorry no offense intended to glofish fans, their...ummm..derr...not for me

I agree!
I just got a 180 gallon aquarium and thinking about a community tank with congos
Congo's & bleeding hearts... An absolute beautiful mix.. just make sure you get more than 5 of each.. Their schooling is absolutely fantastic
Nice fish would fit perfectly in my community tank.
These are beautiful
At almost 67, I don't think enough people realize how much more enjoyable schools of fish are.
Beautiful fish, I had about 35 individuals in a 500l tank, amazing observations, great fish, best regards
Iam also a huge fan of glas catfish
Love mine I have a group of 6
Got 10 of them today.
Absolutely stunning, I have 6 odessa barbs on a 65 gal, looking to fill it out. These might be for me
That would be a nice combo!
I had a bunch before a big freeze and lost a bunch of fish. Loved them! Will be getting again
They are so cool!
It's a shame they're never colored-up in the store, so folks don't realize how amazing they look!
Awesome fish👌!
SO true
ligthing is very important too, bright white light will really make those colors pop
How many would be appropriate for a planted community 180 with roseline sharks being the majority fish in the tank?
Maybe 30 or so?
I worked in a small fish store for years, and I love the congo tetra, but new keepers doesn't seem to like them
May i ask what lights are you using? and what setting are you using?
That wasn’t my tank, but the AI Blade lights are really good.
If full grown - can they be kept with electric blue acara?
Sure!
I love this fish ❤
But I still didn't have them 😕
It's my dream ✨️
I got a school of 9 about a month ago but they are not this colorful. any idea why?
They color up as they grow larger. Also, females don’t show as much color either.
I got a 55 gallon and I want to do species only. How many can I add in 55 gallon I want a large school ?
Maybe 15-18? That will look cool!
¿Y por qué puros machos? Las hembras no serán tan coloridas pero también son bonitas 🙂
I agree!
🔥
Just wish they didn't have the flowing fins. I like them with cichlids, but don't want those fins nipped.
Dwarf Cichlids should be ok, provided the tank is large enough and lots of hiding spots are provided.
