Wow. This is great. I have been unemployed for almost 4 years now and its just recently when I said enough is enough I will not be a slave to this and keep crying that I am broke. I need to employ myself and create employment to others. I thank God I saw this video. You have challenged me. I have the dream, the goals and I am praying for wisdom to do the right thing and be the millionaire I want to be. I look forward to engage with you more and testify here in the next 1 year. God bless you
@SharletteMwambui I wish with all my heart, that you will have all the success you deserve. Enough is enough and we women need to support each other. In one year I will be looking forward to reading your successful testimony🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼✅
I love that your sister is managing things in Uganda. The trick with doing business back home is finding trustworthy people to manage it. I’m from Ghana West Africa and I’m looking to open businesses in Ghana. Finding people to manage those businesses while away is very tricky. Great video!
I ran across your construction loan video last night (learned a lot by the way). I ended up watching your other videos as well! I am so glad you started your channel in spite of your fear. I feel inspired to stop procrastinating!!! The entrepreneur videos are my fave!!! Love your transparency!!!!👌🏽👌🏽
Thanks to S.I.S.T.E.R.S PODCAST! how else will i get to listen to this amazing woman! And thanks for sharing ideas on that podcast too! Was great listening to you.
I'm so glad I saw you on the eBrand Masterclass tonight. I have been watching your videos nonstop since the class ended. You have so much info and your enthusiasm is inspiring. Thanks so much.
Thank you for sharing ! I too am a stay at home mom for the past 2 1/2 yrs. I'm so ready to get back into the swing of life that I've always known. Thank you for the motivation !!
I still remember meeting you for the first time at the apartment, warm personality, the food you gave us too, yum yum. Great customer care. And I still have a dress I bought from your store in the first shop... holding on to it, little black dress, timeless style and fantastic fabric. You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
So many amazing nuggets of wisdom. Certainly learned tons of things that will help me on my journey to building my business from the ground up. God bless you.
This made me go look for you on facebook. I was wondering if you did plus size and oh wow! (You know ugandan sizing can be🙃) You sure do. Well done sis.
I sell on eBay and am thinking to add Poshmark to my outlets. Your advice has energized me. I've started and ended three businesses with bank accounts, resale IDs, the works. I wanted something simpler. Ebay affords me that opportunity. I also have a top star rating for excellent over the top customer service and shipping.
Just want to Congratulate you and to thank u for making such inspiring videos that are so genuine because I witnessed a big potion of this story and it’s like you didn’t leave any stone unturned.
Congratulations Olivia . Well done . It’s nice to hear your stories from there to here. It’s like a big sister mentorship . This is what I want too😭 How can i order things through you to here in kampala ? Save a sister 😍 Love you ♥️
Olivia, Olivia, where to start? I think you are illustrating a few principles with this video... 1. Import/Export can be quite lucrative. 2. Do not assume that the USA and China are the only markets where you can make money. Uganda is, like other developing countries, poor. Nonetheless, there are several hundred thousand people there with real purchasing power who are willing and able to buy your luxury goods. Since Uganda is an overlooked and under served market, there are tremendous opportunities for small business owners.
I landed on this channel from kansime's Instagram.. but I like the fact that you have been in the USA for that long but your accent still Ugandan. CHEERS
Bingo bingo thanks for this video, I watched it until the end, am not a business oriented person but as I continue watching you, that is changing me so first, and I see many opportunities like you just said , and I need to find something that I would love to do, since am based here in the USA 🇺🇸 and from Uganda as well , thanks so much fro sharing, some times when you hear it from someone from home , the encouragement is just so real
Thanks for your tips Olivia. Who do you use to ship the dresses to Uganda? I am starting out a business but don’t know where to start - I have been sending small items with people going back to visit
Thankyou for sharing ! Roughly how much is shipping ? Do you just weigh and take it to Qatar cargo ? And how do they receive it overseas ? Do they pay extra custom fees ? Thanks in advance
This opened my mind to new marketing opportunities. I can target folks and companies or stores in countries like India, Mexico, and Uganda to sell my services as an English copywriter. Thank you!
Thank you Olivia for this great vlog. However I have one question when I looked into your business plan. I see that shipping costs are very high and increases with the wight of the product you're shipping. How did you deal with this issue. Sometimes the products are themselves cheaper than the shipping rates. I see Amazon and some other regional companies have not so high shipping costs. I plan to use the normal postal service in my country and it is still too high. Please help me with this.
Don’t mind the long form content video b/c it’s so packed with info and insights from your experience… just warn us in the title like: “Max content limit exceeded!!! Bonus value video here: Handling challenges that hinder growth.” Tag line: “Spend 30 minutes watching this now to save you 6 months of mistake recovery time later.” A stitch in time saves 9 ;o)
Today, I can: - make Daisy chain jewelry - Work as a copywriter… - sell people’s used clothes on Poshmark… - develop my 4 y/o’s biz idea for a special local family fun center… - create online content… - make promos on Canva… - write and design newsletters for nonprofits… - create Momento books for nonprofits to sell or give as special thank you gifts to most supportive donors… - design shoes for the Metaverse… (ok that last one is crazy, but…) My issue is too many ideas… and too many children still at home and caring for the family at the same time. I’m ADHD. One of them is special needs - so focus is a challenge. But people do against bigger challenges so who am I to complain? What a waste of time better spent figuring out how to work it for us instead of moaning about it. If you can do it changing countries, more than once, I can do it having moved from one side of mine to another. Thank you for reminding me that waiting until we “get settled” may bankrupt us if I let it. My husband’s opportunity is awesome and he is working so hard at building side business. I want to show him I can contribute to double the effect of his hard work and make him proud of me. We are so grateful but I can show him that better these days with income than words. Today, as it stands I can sell copy / make marketing content. That’s the highest value skill I have under my belt already to offer this day. I can learn ChatGPT to get better at it or offer that expertise, too. Thank you. Your story is like the jolt of coffee that I need to take my eyes off what seem like barriers. Love that you share your challenges and how you dealt with them and that it wasn’t instant or easy. That you went ahead and did what was profitable even before the structures in place felt perfected, that you jumped on and let your customers lead the way with growth and development and learned to change by doing - to meet the market once you were in it already. So helpful. I really needed to hear this. Thank you.
Let me know in the comments what resources you have and how you are going to monetize them!
Olivia Ansell can I please have more information on the shipping and taxes in Uganda from the US?? Thank you so much for this information

There are so many opportunities in developing countries, my 2yr goal is going back there and executing on some of those opportunities!
@@OliviazVentures Sincerely hope you do. Developing countries really need the jobs. 😀
Great content! Do you edit your videos yourself?

The girls pretending to be princesses 👸 for little girls ! Wow! Mind blown! We really have to get creative and get this bag! 💪🏿
There are opportunities all around us, we just need to be creative and look hard to find them❤️

Still discovering my current resource!!!

- develop my 4 y/o’s biz idea for a special local family fun center…
- create online content…
- make promos on Canva…
- write and design newsletters for nonprofits…
- create Momento books for nonprofits to sell or give as special thank you gifts to most supportive donors…
- design shoes for the Metaverse… (ok that last one is crazy, but…)
