I don't understand in the UK there is a 15 month waiting for a new tycon. While used tycons are more expensive than new ones. Is anyone really going to wait that amount of time? I know I'm not, so all this exciting news is a bit of a waste of time don't you think. Perhaps more should go into actually producing cars for sale. I will be buying something else.
Hey buddy I find the audio in the video extremely aggravating to listen to because of the excessive room ambience or bat cave effect. Change to a softer surfaced room or put some sound absorbing materials in the room while recording. Your voice will come across much easier to listen to.
can air conditioner be left on when not in car for short time while , florida is very hot when car is closed up. please tell me how, without chance of car being stolen, tesla has it, i am suer taycan has it but not sure how, a fan of yours thanks
I would love to know the logic behind remove the rear footwell lighting...my rear sear passengers loved that in my panamera and I really would like it on my taycan thats on order...what a bummer...makes no sense.

Just picked up my 22 GTS in May. It still has the grey PCM icons. I hope the new PCM functions better. Im having all sorts of glitches. Gonna be honest, the Car is amazing, the PCM is flat out terrible.
I still don’t understand why PCM can’t be updated to the latest via OTA updates. It seems all software so why we need to have the PCM update only by buying a new model year car?
@@wuyucong1990 exacty. It’s 2022 and they want you to update to a newer car? Porsche needs to step it up as far as that is concerned. OTA updates should be standard.
Hi Sherif! Not all MY22's will get the colored icons and wireless Android Auto updates. This started with January 22 production for the Taycan. We are still waiting to hear back from Porsche AG as to weather vehicles prior to this will be able to be updated. At this time the answer seems to be "No". I will keep everyone updated as soon as I know!

Just got a CPO 2021 RWD dealer demo with 500 miles for just over $100k with $20k in options and tax credit eligible. Don’t really see the new PCM as being worth it - still have a deposit for a cross Turismo 4 but not sure if I’ll want to get that one now - we’ll see! Taycan is such a great car in any trim.

Hi Cindy! Congrats on the new incoming Taycan 4S! My apologies... if you option the premium package you will have the fixed panoramic roof glass with the option for an additional $3290 to add the Panoramic roof with variable light control! Hope this helps 👍🏼

I thought those days were behind us. That’s definitely one great thing about Teslas that I miss. I had 2 of those in the past and currently have a 718.
@@Pcarwhisperer the demand of wireless android auto or apple car play is when using induction charger. You put your phone on charge AND you can use it. See how it is done for example on the (very good) Renault Megane E-Tech : ruclips.net/video/6yvN4EtIRvQ/видео.html You just put your phone under the screen. It both charges and is connected for android auto or apple car play.
Due to very high Taycan RWD demand and ongoing parts issues it could be a year or more until delivery all depends on dealer size, allocation allotment coupled with demand for each dealer.

Returned the 2021 Taycan 6 months in due to ongoing defects and quality issues.… got a 992 911 C4S and don’t look back. Even the newest Taycan, the door panel with the leather upgrade inside is klunky and resonates like hell. I’ll look at it again in 2025 to see if we go electrified.
Range varies model to model from 250-300. How often are you driving further than that? Does it truly matter when you can have a significant charge during road trips in 30 min?
The Taycan really needs some help to be even remotely competitive. It's way too heavy, too inefficient, and too slow. Seems that the 2 speed transmission was done to attempt to make the car accelerate as fast as the Tesla S at the time. Of course since then Tesla came out with the Plaid which pretty much annihilates the Taycan in any contest of speed. Porsche needs to get rid of this excess weight that really doesn't work, and instead improve their motor technology. The next problem is that the Taycan is a 2 rather than 3 motor car. It's unclear that they can actually get a third motor in the current car, and it's not at all clear than they can come close to Plaid performance without taking this step. All in all, the Taycan needs a pretty fundamental redesign to be competitive. It needs to be substantially faster, lose at least 500 lbs., ditch the 2 speed transmission, become far more efficient, and improve space utilization. Minor changes such as discussed in this video aren't going to make the Taycan a competitive car.

What’s the cost of the dash cam plus installation at the dealer if you add the $130 pre wire option?
Dashcam after prewiring for the full set up can run you about $1500-$2000. 👍🏼

Hi Delano! The Taycan GTS allocation's are still very few and far between unfortunately 😔 All Taycan allocations are slim at the moment.

Hi Jeff "MY" is short for model year. Porsche uses this abbreviation alot when discussing different models.

Gas is called Panamera, taycan is EV only, period.
You forgot the extra 30mile range on the performance upgrade.

Porsche is no longer making its brand about being the fastest. Just the best handling overall sporting product. Range does need an improvement.
Neither is quicker and faster than a Plaid Model S or X. Just a basic EV for almost twice the price.
