- Here’s the first part of my 4 part travel series covering the beautiful islands of Lakshadweep. In this video, I talk about how to plan a trip to Lakshadweep, the budget for a Lakshadweep trip, how we booked our trip, and basically you’ll see us travel from Kochi to Agatti and then Agatti to Bangaram. We’re spending 3 nights in Bangaram and have a lot of fun activities planned, but so excited to be here in Lakshadweep!

So to visit a territory of INDIA we have to get a permit... how come its not like visiting Leh, Ladakh... Surely govt need to look into this matter if it considers tourism boost.

It is needed to secure tribal culture and also our army n navy is deployed there so for visiting such sensitive areas a permit is needed

When you visit there you will find Mauritius, Maldives & Seychelles are nothing (not even close) compared to Lakshadweep but now Lakshadweep is getting dirtier day by day due to mainstream popularity. And also due to too much construction.

This takes me back to the time when I got the opportunity to live at Lakshadweep for 3 months..it was 18 years back.. the only difference I notice are the motor vehicles...back then we had only cycles and a very few motor bikes..:)
