Cessna 140 Landing

Testing how short I can get the 140 down and stopped. This landing measured 450 ft from the end of the pavement and 250 ft from the threshold. No wind. What a good little airplane.

Nice looking airplane. Pretty gutsy move braking with the tail up on a 120/140. Zero margins there.

you can use "maximum" braking at the beginning of a wheel landing... your feel for the plane allows you to reduce braking as speed slows... seems there should be aerodynamic braking in the 3 point position as well as tail wheel drag at some point.,

Depends on your skill level. For an experienced tailwheel pilot, taxiing/ turning with the tail up is not an issue. For a novice with little experience, it probably is beyond their skill level.

Yeah. Won't be trying that for a few hundred hours! Nice flying. Little slip there, wheel landing. Pilot has skills!

What is that approach speed? Wheelies are eluding me, but we usually fly two up with full fuel.
