    I genuinely feel more comfortable with Picks in net than I do Skinner. Pickard is so reliable and solid. He's going to give up a goal or 2 but he's going to make some big saves along the way and give them a chance to win. Skinner is a mixed bag. He might be rock solid and stop everything or he might be terrible and make the fans start screaming for a trade. His lateral movement is horrendous for an NHL goalie. Quick is 39 years old and looks more athletic and agile than Skinner.

      @@michaelscore6763 I think he's really trying to figure out the bottom part of his forward lines. McDrai will score regardless, as you said. But now is the time to figure out what options he has for lines:
      If McDrai are the first line, does offense just die on the next three lines?
      If we split them up, who best fits with each player, and how do we maximize our third line?
      I think these are the questions he's looking for answers on, and also where our TDL will be focused.

    • @michaelscore6763
      @michaelscore6763 5 дней назад +2

      @X2Crow sure, you are right, it's time to to figure out somewhere combinations of an how they fit together. But, without any doubt, the best line is this season so far was Draisaitl with Arvidsson and Podkolzin. Tonight with Skinner in a lineup with Draisaitl also worked well and if Perry is part of of this group it will also firs well. But since weaks draus a is again more paired with Connor and a third player. Andy sometimes Draisaitl is 8n three lines shift for shifts on the ice. With all these changes, also in the penalty kill team which worked last season exceptional good, the coach brings nearly more confusion to the team's instead of building confidence. Sometimes is much to much! I think the oilers have a lot of depth, for all if Kane comes back, ad also there are a lot of really experienced veterans who understand how to play together. Whatever i miss in this team is a next generation lineup, as every other contender has. I m missing a guy like byfield in LA or the best goal scorer at Vegas (i forgot his name, he's Russia). Also there's forward groups in Florida are younger. The oilers need some draft picks and a food scouting, in Europe are a lot of unknown talented players....
      I hope they will lift the cup at the end of the season! Draisaitl, McDavid and the hole team would deserve it! Cheers

      @@danielnam9026 bruh, as much as I want the oilers to win, they only had to travel an hour flight, yes they have been vocal about their flu, but there are so many teams that hide stuff like that even if they are battling it. Also barely beating one of the worst teams in the league and needing a pp on ot to do it proves this team still needs a lot of growth before playoffs. I obviously think they are talented enough, but this should have been a blowout.

    • @danielnam9026
      @danielnam9026 5 дней назад

      @tobiasketteringham7201 It’s not their A game but 2 points in the regular season is all that matters from the Oilers perspective. Don’t expect a blow out when the team is less than 100% on the road playing in back to back nights.
      The Oilers are better suited to play the right way, conserve energy than to chase for goals and points against bottom teams. They’ll be playing the Avs on Friday before the break, which will be 3 games in 4 nights. That’s a lot of hockey in a short span. I expect them to bring their A game against a stronger opponent in the Avs than a basement dweller team like the Hawks tonight.

      The Oilers started 2-9-1 last season and ended up in a game 7 cup final. And I’m certain they got swept by CBJ (a bad team) in the regular season series.. it’s all speculation and there’s no correlation.

      I will say this at least one of the penalties on berdard was really soft. But good teams can get more calls. Oilers were 1/4 on the pp and the hawks 1/1. Not sure who to put the blame on for that. Was it the oilers for not taking the penalties or the hawks for not forcing them into it.
      Hawks still might have had the most shots on goal they had all year in this game. Both goalie played great.

    Draisaitl is such a burden for Edmonton, he's so slow, not moving, losing 1on1 duels, wrong passes, especially not moving when he has the puck. If it wasn't for draisaitl, Edmonton would basically goal every PP, I can't be the only one seeing this. To score in PP, you need to move constantly all the time, he doesn't move at all and as soon as he gets the puck, everyone including himself just freezes, he's waiting for mcdavid to present an opportunity for him

    • @allansbullet
      @allansbullet 4 дня назад +4

      Draisaitl a burden??? This would have to be the most "turkey" comment I've ever seen on here! Leading the Rocket Richard by 5 goals! Leading in the Art Ross over MacKinnon! Wrong passes?? Yeah right - that's how he has 43 assists as well! Averaging exactly 1.5 points per game! I can name 31 other teams in the NHL that would LOVE to be saddled with this "burden". Your comment is so ridiculous it beggars belief!

    • @allansbullet
      @allansbullet 3 дня назад

      @@Spherify Another silly comment. I played the game for 33 years, including at some pretty reasonable levels, and coached for many of them. Leading the NHL in goals and second in points AS WELL AS being 5th in the League in plus/minus (+27) should tell anyone but a silly hater that he's not just "standing there, not knowing what to do". Add in the fact that MacKinnon who's leading the Art Ross again has had over 120 minutes more ice time than Draisaitl so far this season - that's like two full games more ice time - and you see the value of Leon! He's also scored a lot of goals when McDavid (+13) hasn't even been on the ice. Take your hate somewhere else. Leon Draisaitl's headed for another Hart Trophy, and hopefully the Stanley Cup.
