    My sister passed away after 3 months of hysterectomy, she was diagnosed stage 4 cancer . It could have been prevented if the surgeon would have done the biopsy before hysterectomy.

    I just went to a fibroid consult and the dr said that 1% of cases are cancerous and in order to qualify for a laparoscopic procedure, I need to do a blood test and a D & C so that they can test for cancer before they'll do the procedure. I feel badly for this lady that she had to go through this. I hope she's okay.

      I had this procedure before my laparoscopic hysterectomy so they could figure out if there was cancer beforehand. I feel so bad for women that didn't have that option for whatever reason.

      @@JA-bj9tz I don't remember what he said it was. I ended up going to two other consults and neither of them do this blood test nor d&c; just a biopsy. I think the first guy I went to goes overboard on -re-op. He also wanted to put me on 3 months of lupron (cutting all estrogen) to shink the tumors before surgery which the other two wouldn't do in my case either. Second and third opinions are important.

      I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer stage 1 after a D & C. I was referred to an oncologist. My gyno had given me to go for a mammogram, sonomammogram and a vaginal sonogram (don’t remember the complete name). With these results I was a step ahead when I visited my oncologist for the 1st time. He immediately gave me four tests for me to do before the laparoscopic total hysterectomy salpingo oophectomy. 1. Get a colonoscopy, ct scan, mri and blood tests. I had to wait for insurance to approve ct scan and mri. But finally I’m done with my worries that it would go up to other advance stages. I’m recuperating now. Colonoscopy is to make sure there is any other things. I had two polyps removed. So my Dr. Knew very well what he was doing. Blood tests can tell Dr. How and what is in the blood with cancer patients.

    • @sama1585
      @sama1585 3 месяца назад

      @@crystalhytower1982 UFE stands for uterine fibroid embolization. It's a minimally invasive procedure used to treat uterine fibroids, which are noncancerous growths that develop in the uterus. During a UFE procedure, tiny particles are injected into the blood vessels that supply the fibroids, cutting off their blood supply and causing them to shrink and die. UFE can help alleviate symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and urinary frequency.

The patient in the video underwent morcellization where they broke down the uterus into pieces to remove it through small portals in the abdomen, not realizing she had cancer contained in fibroids.
