Hello guys, sorry about bad video quality. I will explain here the wire colours. Power wire Red, ground wire Green and 2 wires twisted together should be data wire Yellow D+ & Brown wire D-. Remaining 2 wires for mic. If you lucky this should match with your cam board but if your cam board has different colours then you want to test and find it like i done. THANK YOU

I don't think that camera work if you directly connect to usb, because in usb connection the power line data line separately, sounds like your camera board works everything in just to wire. So i don't think it work on usb

It is a ic and used as voltage regulator. If your camera voltage is 3.3v then you need to use voltage regulator 5v to 3.3v.

why do we need to identify the power positive using a tester, cant we just alternately switch the wire to know if it will power on? will it damage the camera in case we connect the power to a wrong wire?

You have only 5 wire I have 8 wire
Only 4 wire is needed for camera. Maybe remaining is for mic and flash, sounds like i am not familiar with that😕

Please tell me how are you using the crocodile clips with the multimeter together? I can't put them in it with the probes. Please reply. I have started using multimeter recently and I don't know much about them.

Did the same here but windows doesn't recognize the camera. what can i do?
Check the connection again. If you connect it in wrong way or the connection is improper then the system fails to detect the hardware. Also you need to check in the computer your camera software is working, if you have any webcam then connect it and makesure the computer settings and software is okay, you can also connect your DIY camera into any laptops that has inbuilt working camera so you can makesure that the system software and settings is okay but the problem is with Diy camera.
