I remember one trying to talk to my parents that said his name was Patrick Stewart. I asked him if he was calling from the Enterprise. Geez at least try to see if the fake name you're using isn't some famous actor. Lol

I have kept them on the phone for 45 minutes one time. It was the old "Computer error" scam. At the end when they finally figured me out I was laughing so hard that I could not hear him cussing me out. I don't get the "Computer error" scams anymore, but I get the car extended warranty and solar panel scams. What amazes me is that these have been going on for so long that people still fall for them. If they got no money they would be gone in a week. Spread the word and help the elderly who they target.

Idk about the ‘old’ scams (I’m 68) but I’ve never talked to these people on the phone.
@christinesorensen8050 I had one yrsxago from "Microsoft" call. Telling me they were not a scam. Wanted me to give them access to my pc. I told them I had to think about it 🤣 I never returned the call. Had another one tell me my windows version, I did not have it. That one was a huge gamble. I asked him how he got the number... he never answered
When us mere mortals try to do this, we realise how hard it is and it increases our respect for Rinoa

Part of Rinoa’s genius is that the scammers are led to believe they are close to a huge payday. They are so, so close. But they can never quite close the deal.

I had a caller call and i messed with him for about five minutes until he said " way are you wasting my time? ". I then reminded him that he called me , i didn't call him. That didn't register with him at all.
To bad for legit phone WORKERS, but AS SOON as I hear the accent, I know it's a scam .and I tell them I don't have time to play ,go fish

I had a hard days work attending my client emergencies with their payroll system. It was a stresfull saturday for me. I came home to continue working while hearing to this video. Rinoa: your make me laugh like no other scambaiter with your sharp humor. So incisive, so funny. You have a talent in finding the emotional hole through which you enter and start stirring their entrails to a point where they start boiling until the don't know what is happening anymore. Thank your for making my day.
It always gets me how they get mad and start yelling at you. I know you are purposely trying to get them mad, but there will be times when that is not the case, and they still get mad and start yelling. I always figured that was also a giveaway that they are scammers.
They Rinoa gives them silence for the first half of the sentence to wind them up is incredibly perfect.

Giving up throwing down the phone and others shouting in the background. They should be busy on their own calls. Must be a slow day, all on the one call wanting a big pay out. Love hearing angry frustrated scammers. That is not easy, talking so much and as fast as that takes skill. Brilliant !

These scammers are so used to get their way easily with the victim that they have become entitled and when Rinoa gives just a little tough time they get genuinely upset with not getting their scam go through easily. Really feel sad for the victims and appreciate people like Rinoa, Kitboga et al for doing such a service in an entertaining way

Same process...they seem to not wanna learn and so desperate. Tried to call one and put on a super nice guy character, put them on hold several times, then 1.5 hours later, I told him that I knew he is a scammer and told him to eat $hit...he cried and I hang up. 😉

There are a few things that give me as much joy as hearing a scammer getting so frustrated he can barely speak, he’s throwing the phone, he’s threatening to cry, and then he gets hung up on by who he thinks is a woman he’s trying to screw out of $100K. I’m over here cheering, laughing, and clapping because what better thing to listen to and watch while I’m painting my nails then scammers getting their time wasted and made a fool of. You seem to be able to frustrate them like few other people can, and for that I thank and applaud you, Rinoa. 💜

This is the type of video seniors need to see. It's education. Showing seniors this, while it is humorous will help them to be more sceptical of the scammers, their tactics, their "script" and their subterfuge. A very valuable education for those who are naive about these criminals.
