My dough is proofing now and i will be baking it in 6 hours. I am going to use a cast iron dutch oven. Should I put the dutch oven in the oven while its preheating?
Hello. If you are baking your bread in a clay pot, like it shows in the video, the countdown will be at the moment you put your bread in the oven. If you are using cast iron pot, which requires preheating, the countdown will start after preheating is done and it will be 30-35 min. In the mean time watch the color of your bread. The crust has to be browned and risen. Thank you 🌹

tsueih mine is rising now. Did you make temperature adjustments? I want to cook in a loaf pan. 475 degrees seems awfully hot?
No, I did not make any temperature adjustments when I baked it in a loaf pan.
Love you Nasstasja .. Great sourdough bread with a sour taste just right .. Knead it without any starter or a lot of hassle .. Thanks dear and bless you .. Greetings from Egypt 🌺🌷💞
Moushira Abdel-Malek Thank you so much 😍
Please clarify. If using cast iron, empty pot in preheated oven and then add the loaf to the heated pot? Or place loaf in cast iron pot in preheated oven?
You need to preheat the cast iron pot.
@@NastassjaCanCook Thank you. Looking forward to making this!
I loved this so much! Pls keep making videos (:
Can I double this recipe and if so does the amount of yeast change?
Yes. It should be doubled. 🤗
Can I use fresh cranberries instead of dry ones?
Sorry, not a good idea. Fresh cranberries will release a lot of juice and your bread will not look or taste the same. 😊
