Songs like these are what makes me proud to be in this fandom, MLP has been a very important part of my life. There are so many great memories and lessons learned :)
Even now that FiM is long over and times are strange, it's best to remember the show for what is it. We got to be kind and supportive of one another, make Twilight Sparkle happy for us 😅

It's easy to forget how fast time flies...
I for one am still here, and don't plan on going anywhere.
This song encompasses my recent feelings about the fandom. It feels so quiet and almost lonely now. Its not nearly as bustling as it was and a lot people have left or lost interest. The fandom lightning didn't quite strike twice with G5, but there's still people/fanworks that are being done slowly as the months go by, it feels sad, but those of us who are left with keep the fire burning as the lyrics say. Im never getting rid of my MLP OCs and I even have both a G4 and a G5 AU that im working on. :3
It was inevitable honestly, G4 was just too good. Though as FiM stands for Friendship is Magic, what matters are the friends we made through the fandom that stay with us forever. The memories, the delight, where it took our lives, will never fade away.
@@tylere.8436 Yeah, I agree. G5 irks me in many ways, but G4 was an experience ill never forget lol. It was hard to let go and still is, but it happens. Just treasure what the fandom left behind.
I think the "not as bustling" isn't quite right. The difference is that it isn't as concentrated. I'd wager there's more pony songs being made now, but it's like talking about TV in the 50s versus now. We have so much more now, but back when EVERYBODY had seen the same 20 shows, versus now where it's harder to connect with a particular interest because it's there's simply so many of them. It's definitely a different world, but I don't think the fandom will ever disappear. Trekkies still exist after 75 years. Star Sars geeks still have conventions even after *waves hand* all that.
It may not be as big, but it's no less energetic and robust.
@@CordialH Let's just say the novelty wore off a while ago and it's not culturally that relevant anymore. In other words, the novelty of men watching MLP was the initial drive for the movement, who would have thought it would be men and boys right? But after a whole decade and how society has changed drastically since then, no one really cares anymore that a guy likes MLP. It's just passe. The fandom will never die, but the relevancy had indeed died. It's not special anymore. That's not to stay it isn't timeless, the show and the fandom's works will last. I still jam to the songs on my commute to work.

🎀 Wayyyyyy back when, back before I transitioned into a woman, I remember asking you on Facebook how long you planned on making mlp music, and you were like "Hopefully forever!". Your determination and your refusal to stop doing what it is you love in this fandom is incredibly, inCREDIBLY inspiring. I'm nowhere near as into MLP now as I was back in the day. But one thing's for sure, I'm probably always gonna be a PrinceWhateverer fan. Your music gets me through many rough days. Thank you for all of this absolutely amazing music and memories

This fandom was the first I joined while actually knowing what a fandom was...it will always be the one that makes me cry remembering it's hay-day. Even as I join other fandoms I will always remember the ONE that first lit that fire of passion in me.

Damn bro! I remember when the original came out, and back then, it hit hard. This still hits hard with melancholy and nostalgia of the good ol' days when I first boarded the MLP hype train, but in a good way. Here's to many more years, and yes, I still plan to die with the herd!
I'm sorry to say that I joined the community very late and ended up missing its golden age. Still, the bit I was able to witness was great and it made me wish I gave MLP a chance sooner. Middle School and High School me was notoriously stubborn when it came to trying kids shows, but now that I've leveled out a bit, I realized the importance of taking a step back from all the R movies and M games and just taking it easy. This show brought out a better side of me I never thought possible and the amazing community surrounding it made it all the more fun!

Man, the nostalgia of these things scattered around by the end, it brings a tear to my eye to see how many things have come and gone over the years from the fandom, it almost hurts to see such a good era end, but all we can do now is move forward.

In 2014, I thought “wow, I didn’t expect to stay in this community for two whole years.” It's been ten years now. The series ended three years ago. But the brony music continues to come out to this day. I have not felt such a bitter and at the same time pleasant feeling of nostalgia for a long time.

Man seeing the Rainbow Factory book in there hurt a bit. The memories of literal years spent attempting to cultivate Spectra Studios before the inevitable reality that time moves on without us settled in and we had to disband without much to show for it. The time spent with that squad were some of the most fun and most stressful I'd ever had, but I only regret being too young and dumb letting myself get in over my head. I was introduced to the fanbase in 2011 at 14yo, and though I denounced my brony card after 2017, I'll never regret what I accomplished in those years. I'm 27 now, and happily moving on with my career as an animator and musician.
For anyone younger than me reading this worried about what's to come: You don't have to let go of good times, you just have to be prepared to accept new ones.

I haven't been an active brony in many years, since like 2017-18? But I dip my toe back in every now and then and this video, this song, brought back every little memory with you guys and my friends I made and the friends I lost. It made me (26m btw) sob. I recently lost my mom and she was the first person I told about mlp and she thought it was odd but laughed with me and called me a dork and this brought baxk alot of those memories of her that I had forgotten, so thank you all so very much for who are and what you do and keep the magic of friendship alive! /)
