Finally the Your Own Sky redux is here!! Another one that's been in the works for a long time! (seems to be a pattern developing lmao) It's a huge collaboration between myself and the AWESOME Crooked Beetles! You might recognise their art style =w=
But yeah this is a redux of a song from a while back, Tia's lament and living with the guilt of banishing her own sister for a thousand years :c

The way she bleakly looks at nightmare moon coming back is beautiful. She knew what was happening, she just didn’t have the strength to fight her sister again, not after missing her for so long. Gods it’s beautiful and this display of her grief is amazing.
Lauren Faust explained the whole situation as this (paraphrased). “… the stars will aid in her escape…” “and who controls the stars?”. Basically she explained that celestia banished nightmare moon initially forever and after a while decided 1000 years would be a good amount of time to have been grounded. But that’s something I still love about this story. No matter how you look about it celestia was still so immature in dealing with the situation that she used a power she didn’t understand (that being the fact that the stones themselves are powered by friendship) and just straight up banished her sister for all of eternity until she discovered she had the power to bring her back. The reason I love it is because I really like when the show creates an unexplored darker side to the lore and it’s because of this that we have so much good art based around these stories.

Heck, this was gorgeous. A serious take from an artist I'm more used to seeing humor from is always a dice roll, but this came up 20. To see Celestia mourn in a very bleak, hopeless, and desperate manner hits so much harder than a single graceful tear.
Grief isn't pretty - unlike this work. Thank you for making it.

Another absolute banger this is, i love it! both the song and animatic are truly marvelous and a perfect interpretation of Celestia and Luna's sisterly relationship until Nightmare Moon's banishment and Celestia spend a thousand years ruling Equestia alone while living in anguish the entire time, anyway as always everyone did a positively masterful and incredible job putting this piece of musical and artistic genius together simply sensational work kudos major props and kudos to you all!!!

But from Luna's perspective she banished her to a desolate rock while she spent a thousand years shoving caviar up her arse.
That last look Celestia gives Nightmare Moon. She can’t bring herself to run or even say anything. She’s waited so long for this. This exact moment. So many things I’m sure she’s wanted to say in this moment. But she couldn’t. She was just so tired. She was willing to accept whatever happened. Even if that meant death. At least Luna would be back.
Man, this really really captures the emotion of this often unsung part of the Princess's history.
Maybe controversial but I don't think the show and even some community creations really give it that necessary feeling.

o, skill... it's such a great take of just what they felt....
Lullaby for a princess is the only other song/video that could really vie for such an obscure achievement.
It's amazing how the story of nightmare moon continues to be impactful and relevant among the bronys, the concept of Celestia's guilt for having done the right thing despite being her sister the banished pony is very inspiring. Very good animation and amazing ending.
What can I say that I hasn't said before? This song wakes inside of me tons of memories of back when I was younger and blasted my ears with it... 2015... It has been this long? I can't believe it!
I love this song, I love how clear it sounds, I love how heavy it is... You've surpassed yourself this time with this Redux, I can't stop listening to it, it's so damn good!

You know, it's amazing how 12 years after Gen 4 began, and closing in on 3 since it ended, bronies keep finding ways of taking the old stories we know and love, polishing them up, and presenting them in a way that still feels as fresh and magical as the first time we heard them.
God, this song just has so much energy to it. Kinda needed to be reminded just how intense the relationship between Celestia and Luna really is.
I knew Beetle had this type of stuff in her, but DAMN it is a trip to see something this intense out of her look. Absolutely love it!
This is why I love this fandom. Fans are creating fantastic masterpieces together just to keep the party alive and for the joy of it.

This just proves we needed a heavy metal screamo song in mlp.
I remember finding the first version of Your Own Sky back... after someone very near and dear to me left me... and this version came out shortly after someone else who grew even closer chose to leave me... Both times, this song has helped me push forward through that loss and continue standing tall even when everything feels like it's collapsing around me.
Another home run!!! This was one of my favorites back in the day along with Frailty and Left Behind. Listening to an improved version with an accompanying Animatic that slaps fills my heart with so much joy! :D

Wow, man. Just... wow. I don't usually comment, but this is just too amazing. I've always been a little bit of a metalhead at heart, so when I discovered your music, it almost brought out a little hidden part of me. As a dedicated MLP fan/fellow guitarist, something about your melodies, your riffs, your voice, your solos, just go right to my heart. I can relate to every single one of your songs in one way or another. Because even though they may be about anthropomorphic candy-colored horses, the emotions are so real and present, and honestly, this one made me cry. You're a true artist. Don't ever let anyone tell you that your music is any less beautiful, moving, heartfelt, and flat-out hard because of your genre of subjects. I've always been emotionally attached to music, so this is just so powerful. That one riff before the first chorus will never fail to make me headbang, the incredible melody and lyrics have moved me to tears countless times, and that goes for all of your songs. You're able to capture emotions in such an artistic light, and that's so hard to do, but you master it. This and Ghost in the Sun are my two biggest obsessions right now, I'm always up in my attic trying to learn them. I feel I've exhausted my point by now, but I just cannot thank you enough for helping me to rediscover my passion in music and artistry. You are a legend and a rock god. Always remember that. You're making me happy, and I'm certain thousands of other people as well. God bless you, dude. You're doing the Lord's work.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!! I love the chose of music, the style, just everything. It's really sad to see how Luna transformed into NM due to jealousy and neglect from Celestia. I feel this animatic really shows how they both coped with the banishment, its really sad.

A divine piece of work, the animatic captures the despair of being a hero going one step to far. Saving generations of lives without them ever knowing the price she paid for them. The power in your songs evokes a wide array of emotions!
