Hello guys. Thanks for your BIG support to this video and to my channel. In this video I have mentioned Leonardo building height is 150 mtrs. but it is wrong. Sorry for that. I did google it but I don't know how I got wrong info. One of the viewer "Solomon Abrams" picked it and make me correct. Correct height of Leonardo building is "234 mtrs.". Thanks Solomon Abrams. I can't correct it in video so mentioning it here.
You think? I lived there 30 years ago and it was much nicer, it wasn’t a concrete jungle. Johannesburg was the proper city whereas Sandton was more an upmarket suburb.
The south east edge of my city - Kyiv, Ukraine - is very similar to Sandton. Developing countries do prefer high rise buildings, whilst the developed ones try to avoid them building those of 6-7 floors. E.g. in Netherlands you hardly find high rise buildings, meantime Ukraine, Malaysia and South Africa are just full of them.
Developed European countries prefer the aesthetic of the old world buildings. They have pride in the history and culture which is signified by those buildings
i have seen parallels being drawn between upperhill in Kenya, Banana island in Nigeria. Sandton is on a different level in terms of planning, class. Upperhill has a lot of the high rise building but doesn't have the same class as Sandton. The roads, the landscaping, the side cabs in upper look like someone left without completing the work and the beauty of upperhill cpould be enhanced if only they could just tear down those ugly boundary walls
Not even boundary walls are the problem the streets just need a whole new makeover to look like Sandton because we have the buildings but not streets and beauty
Sandown used to look cute and quaint but now it just looks like Johannesburg (Part 2) it’s now way too overbuilt. There is still a huge amount of car jackings there and robberies, the criminals will use as much force as is necessary to get your possessions.
I just wish it was more walkable and bike friendly. I would love to experience this outside of a car. I mean... you can its just not fun crossing 4 lanes of traffic. Beautiful city though
This video makes me oner do something again. I just lost everything mostly on trying to revive after the lockdowns, my brains have been all over the place. And this reminds me how it used to be within my lifetime. What still remains possible long as i dont do something stupid, like drugs or death, or depending on govt. So ja thanks, maybe i its the lazy seaside that i now need to escape
It's just road driving so I didn't put commentry. Whenever I will do trips like Durban or Capetown I will put commentry to give all information about trip. Thanks for suggestions 😊
No, please don't add music. I do not drive and I don't have or plan to get a driving license in my life. I am watching from Europe, The Netherlands. It's very important to understand the effect of this sound on the environment. I do hope that your videos make people think more of public transport, beside enjoying the view. I haven't see bus stops. Is that right?
Some people say the sound of the car is like the sound of your washing machine: makes you feel safe and calm. But a car is a luxury item in 2021. These videos are (or could be) like timecapsules for a 100 year later.
And it 55 story building, 12m higher than the 50 storey Carlton Centre. The hillbrow tower is 270m tall with a few floors right on top. A few years ago it was open to the public as there used be restaurants and night clubs high up in the sky.
Sorry Oriana, I am not driving to Sandton but I am driving within Sandton. This drive covers almost every street arround Sandton City Mall. I think you misunderstood.

Not even a pothole insight. Amazing
That Sasol building is a masterpiece...
I have never seen so much shiny glass and metal. The architecture of some those buildings is stunning.
Naaaahhh ... It's really phenomenal but the Discovery building is untouchable. It's a different story altogether

@@Chillednfunked please drop your email…I’ll like to know much more about sandton before relocating full time🙏🏼
South African cities are damn extraordinary modern.
Developed countries don't have money to build them
Developed European countries prefer the aesthetic of the old world buildings. They have pride in the history and culture which is signified by those buildings
South Africa doesn't build high rise buildings. We build horizontally more than vertically
Okay
Hey how are you? Hope you re safe
The city is so clean
It’s not a city it’s a suburb of Johannesburg which is a city.

That's awesome!
This is superbly crafted, made me emotional for my city
Stupidly crafted when they left Johannesburg to rot and turn a suburb into a metropolis stupidly. Sandton is a suburb.

I have started putting background music from last 2-3 months. All my new videos has music.

Bro can u tell that is life is gud in joburg
Did you record this on Sunday?
More like during Corona pandemic...
I would like to visit can anyone accomdate me
Is the nearly complete lack of pedestrian foot traffic due to COVID-19 or is that the usual state of affairs in Sandton?
It's because of COVID and usually traffic is not high on weekends, so both reasons.
The leonardo is not 150m its 234m
You are right bro. Sorry for that. I had searched on Google and got wrong info "don't know how". Will put it in description with your name. Thanks 😊

Too long. To visit Sandton doesn't take more than 25m
Sorry Oriana, I am not driving to Sandton but I am driving within Sandton. This drive covers almost every street arround Sandton City Mall. I think you misunderstood.
Also in title, it is said "It is Sandton" not "Driving to Sandton".
Good to know :)
I enjoy the drive though, maybe because in real life you don't do this in general. It's fun :)
Bad timing, atleast if you did it during midday
Great work anyway
Aman it is around 3-4pm on weekend. It seems like effect of corona.
Please make shorter videos of Sandton.
I just see buildings what is special with that?
Great Infrastructure is a symbol of success. Develement = Thriving economy.
Very quiet because C-19

Modern architecture and progressive society
Do u want to see a lion on the street?
Doesn't look like Africa
Go and joke far
It's called "the richtest square-mile in Africa.

@@nickyngwana it's a very rich place where your countries depend on our resources like a body depends on water.
