"Quickly stands up to watch"
I have no coach, you are my coach. I have mastered most movements through visualization and observing your form, I am in my 60's, thank you. My favourite is deck squats with clubs and at the top of my squat any exercise I feel like doing on that particular day. Thanks once again.
I worked construction off and on during college, but after I graduated I got an office job. Shortly after starting, my lower back started hurting constantly. I started working out and eventually found Mark's channel. I also started using a standing desk at work. Obviously this is my own anecdotal evidence, but I highly recommend that combo to those who also work in an environment where sitting all day is commonplace. I haven't noticed any more lower back problems since making those two changes, unless I over-do it some days (workout+hiking or biking+manual labor).
mark out here developing the best fitness channel in his black jeans 🔥🔥🔥
What a very great - fantastic verbal and visual instructional explanation!
The 'Push, swing, pull, catch' on the 180 upper circle had me , 🤔, oh yeah 🙂
My coach is the best. He tells me what to do and how long I should do it. My training routine is as follows:
1. 2H Heavy Club/SA Heavy Club
2. Kettlebells
3. Mace
I train with all 3 of these 2X/week. Forever. Thanks, coach! 😄🙏
Mark is the best
Mark keeps the good stuff coming!
Good stuff right here.
Ah come on! I was just going to sit down and watch tv, and the notification flashes on my phone “You’re Probably Sitting Too Much”. The characters of my conscience - Mark Wildman telling me “ you’re never done training…”, and then Britney Spears chiming in periodically with “You Better Work B*tch!”
Lol Keep on dancing until the world ends !
😂😂
Super cool. I am trying to get better at rope flow before tackling clubs. I imagine this routine here is not only good for shoulders but also for wrists, so interested in that for one of my kids who got injured. As far as sitting, i think standing desks for work are a must and walking breaks every 90min at minimum. It takes effort to make it happen! Crazy but true
This is interesting ... Do you think people with fused wrists would be able to do this? Very little range of motion left.
I hadn't really thought of it until a few weeks ago, but having done inside and outside circles, shield casts, halos (kettlebell), swings (kettlebell) and around-the-world (kettlebell) for about a year and a half, I rarely have any kind of back pain-especially lower back.
PS: It's probably time for me to work on more complex work (I'm thinking with lighter weight on my "off" days.)
Thanks for these hints! I think I should start with clubs (at least one of them;-) Nevertheless, I know a sport that doesn't need rotational movements: chess!
Chairs aren't built right. I sit on a couch I gotta put 2 cushions behind my back just to be comfortable. Gotta build my own damn chair
👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
I could do that with the dominant arm, My left is definitely a problem for now.
Just 1 stupid question. If you want to save money. Wouldn't be an adjustable Mace great, because you could grip it shorter so you have the length od a clubbell? Or isn't that practical for training?
I’m 5 foot six 180 pounds. I juggle for hours a day and I am very much athletically in shape.
What pound and size club would be a good entry-level club to start doing exercises like this for a guy like me? that’s never picked up a club ?
Here’s my confusion. I bought an Adex 2 years ago and started doing SA club with it. Inside, Outsode circles and shield cast. Mostly from his exercises for overweight individuals. I have progressed nicely from 5lbs to currently at 13.75. Since then, I have seen multiple times, including this video, to start with 2 hand for these exercises. Generally speaking, I assume that 2H might not be beneficial in this context? Is that fair to say? I am familiar with the Mill/Squat program and think I understand the differences there but I don’t have the time to add a “C” day. My A-B is the SA club and then Swings/CnP. The rest of my time is used for long walks or elliptical
I don't think that 2H versions are bad at all. I have problems with 1H shield cast using much above 10 lbs but can easily do 2H mills and casts with a 25lb club and they really work the core and shoulders. I'm sticking with 2H because no one is going to give me a trophy for my 1H work.
@markwildman I bought the training for deconditioned individuals. My wife and I are wrapping up week two of the Indian clubs together. I am starting week 2 of the main part of the program. I tend to get indigestion with any weight lifting I do. Does that eventually get better as conditioning improves?
This is a good question for the Discord channel, there's bunch of people with experience that can probably answer that. I'm pretty sure the channel is linked in the video description.
Any hinging movements and I'm at workout +2.5 or > hours after a meal.
Darts
"In every sport", even in chess, you move them different directions, except pawns.
How can I grip the club with bad thumbs? I could try those weight lifting straps. I can’t be the only one?
Born without joints in his thumbs. He manages. The rest of your hand gets stronger. It means you start lighter (Wildman adex is designed with this in mind) and you may have to repeat cycles to allow more adaptation time
Dude looks like he could rip a redwood out of the earth.
Hate sitting 👎🏻
There's not much rotation in bowling. 😂
