Bruce’s kicks are so insane. He can generate so much speed and power with little indication of telegraphing its path. He can move his back foot insanely fast. His natural ability and the work he put in are still unparalleled. I love when he feints a kick from his rear leg and quickly transitions to a round house. It’s ridiculous.
what makes this fight one of the best fights in movie history is the amount of respect they both have for each other, from the stretching at the begining to allowing their opponent to get up and get in stance to Bruce Lee showing respect for Colt after he kills him.
The most formal fight ever choreographed on screen. They actually stretched out and practiced before the fight and afterwards Bruce showed respect to the fallen.
From the way I heard the story, it was Bruce's idea that 2 gladiators went at it at full contact. I also heard from Chuck in a live interview, it took 3 days to film this fight. Chuck goes on to say, he was required to gain 10 pounds for this movie scene. Chuck was eating cheese burgers and milkshakes to gain this weight.. poor Chuck's stomach.
Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris at the Colosseum in Return of the Dragon, it's a fight scene that will go down in the history of action movies. Bruce Lee is, of course, the best and strongest fighter, but Chuck Norris is also the strongest fighter. However, I am a long-time fan of Bruce Lee.
One thing about this fight scene I don't get. Up to this point Tang Lung(Bruce) was beating the crap out of anyone and everyone that the syndicate sent against him. He was already warmed up so why the extra stretching against Colt? There was no mention in the movie that Tang Lung ever knew who Colt was and how good he was, so why give him all the respect? What would be hilarious is that after that warm up, Tang Lung knocks him out in 8 seconds .LOL
this is the very best fight scene ever fought by two people. Bruce is the only fighter that I've seen that beat Chuck - fair and square...end of story!
You know what gets me? When people think they can hide and make remarks to people who they would otherwise avoid eye contact with. The fight "scene" is obviously staged! You can see who I am, but you hide behind an image. Whatever I think is not your concern.
Great to know that your not crazy or ignorant. Of course its staged. So why did you say "Bruce is the only fighter that has beat Chuck fair and square" unless your talking about a real fight that you personally had witnessed?
he dislocates his shoulder. you can see him grab it. makes the arm freeze up. when he falls on his front he stops himself with both arms though so it doesn't last long ;-)
It may originally be called "Way of the Dragon" but I prefer this version "Return of the Dragon". It sound's better, feels like a sequel to "The Chinese Connection" aka "Fist of Fury", and the dub over for the Bruce/Norris fight is fantastic.
@@VideoTube2016 im not deaf. was just stating my opinion that i like the ROTD dub better. if you like those hi pitched squeals that break eardrums from WOTD then by all means go and bust out your ears then.

Chuck Norris went on to make a 100 bad movies and a television series... all mediocre at best, all because of Bruce Lee but he NEVER acknowledges this, nobody would know or care who he is and he would have the same notoriety that Karate Joe Lewis has. And most people don't who he is or why mentioning him is relevant

Near the beginning of the fight, Chuck Norris roundhouse-kicked Bruce Lee. Right away, Bruce's fate was sealed, but they both wanted to finish the movie, so Chuck acted quickly and gave Bruce a combo and another roundhouse kick. The second roundhouse kick broke light speed, went back in time, and delayed the effect of the first roundhouse kick so that Bruce would survive a few more years. Chuck even threw the match to give Bruce the honors of being the only man to (temporarily) survive not only one, but two roundhouse kicks, but also of being the only man to "kill" Chuck Norris on-screen, as (over)compensation for taking Bruce Lee's life. You can tell by their hand signs after the roundhouse kicks.
I have read "The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book" written by Chuck Norris himself, and he does acknowledge Bruce Lee's real-life talent and skill. I was just making a joke about him; there's no reason for you to get so angry about it. Did you think I was trolling Bruce Lee's fans, or are you the one trying to troll me?
First of all Chuck Norris was a god damn World Martial Arts Champion and trained alongside of Bruce for years. They learned from each other so you're nuts if you think that Bruce doesnt look at Chuck as his peer. They are two of the greatest martial artists in the last 200 years. 2nd to the idiot who thinks he could take Bruce because he outweighed him by 50lbs you're also fucking nuts. As a wrestler I watched a guy who was 215lbs win States in the 285lb weight class. As well as my teammate being 1 match from states wrestling 190 weight class weighing 158 soaking wet. Dude had to drink gallons of water just to be allowed to wresltle that far up. Being heavy won't be enough to beat someone with legendary skill like Bruce

@@grosskopf2779 I think that's just because people are too wrapped up on who these guys are. To me, it's not much different than watching the fight scenes in Rocky 3 or Rocky 4. As for it being "legendary", it's not. This really isn't even a famous fight scene although it should be, and that's a shame. Bruce Lee had way better fight scenes in his other films, particularly the hall of mirrors scene from Enter The Dragon. 2 monster giants . 2 great fighters. Especially bruce LEE. Respect to both
A classic movie
Never gets old. This whole scene is badass. Love it
the cat is definitely my favorite part of this whole thing!!!! best actor in the scene!!!

Know why Chuck Norris is still alive? He's afraid of what Bruce will do to him in the afterlife.
OHHHHH!!!
Yes indeed. Proof. @ 7:48 Master Bruce is using his advance Kung-Fu Qi technique.
