I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem - greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Tracy Britt Cool Consulting my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.
I'm 56 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I'd suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
In the 80's my Dad worked a modest job, Mom stayed at home and raised the kids, and they lived a nice middle class lifestyle including owning a home. Nowadays both I and my partner works and can barely afford to make ends meet. Soon the kids and family dog will need to work to keep this household going. It's the destruction of the American dream right before our eyes.

I went from no money to Invest with to busting my A** off on Uber eats for four months to raise about $20k to start trading with Tracy Britt Cool Consulting. I am at $128k right now and LOVING that you have to bring this up here
We always called it frugal living. It’s cute that they are bring back something that’s been around for years. This is how you can live on one income with a family
For so long they were told that consumption supports economy. Even under this video someone already mentioned this is bad for the economy. LOL Also, people always need to see the likes of them doing the same thing. Crowd mentality. I am 50, always have been savvy, but even I have trouble following some frugalistas on RUclips. I look at them and say, "heck no, I would rather work extra and get my hair done at the salon and not have my house looking like Goodwill puked there." 😂 Every generation reuses ideas, just gives it new spin.
From someone who has a large garden and preserves her own food.......mason jars are designed to last forever. I still water bath and pressure can with jars that are over 60 yrs old. They hold up great and are able to hold up against pressure and extreme heat. Because they are glass they can be sanitized. Glass never goes bad unless it breaks or cracks. Glass is as frugal as it can get.
I’ve worked hard to save about $800,000 for retirement, and now I’m ready to turn my savings into a paycheck. But how much can I afford to withdraw from savings and spend is what I don’t know. If I spend too much, I risk being left with a shortfall later in retirement. But if I spend too little, I may not enjoy the retirement I envisioned. What’s your advice on this please?
stay flexible - if the market performs poorly, you may not be comfortable increasing your spending at all, but if the market does well, you may be more inclined to spend more on some ''nice to haves''

GenX here, this was normal for us, we didn’t have any money, I still live like this. Retired at 48, doing fine, been on 2 vacations this year and doing my own work around the house. Almost done chopping wood for next winter, my kids love some of my old clothing from the nineties 😁
My friend always has most amazing dinner plates. One time wheh she had girls over, we were admiring our plates and she told us to look close at each others' plates. They were all different, but all white color. She goes to Goodwill and replaces broken or scratched up plates with just another white plate, same with bowls and desert plates. Nobody even noticed. 😂 I started doing the same, because if you buy a set and few break, it is impossible to replace with something matching. But solid color always works.
Thanks George. I don’t know how you manage to make me laugh in every single video when you just keep banging the financial responsibility drum. “Some of my favourite stuff happens to be stuff.”
Hi George! Literally almost spit out the water I was drinking when you said, "little insane asylum-y to me". Thanks for imparting wisdom and humor, plus the Captain ranking :) Also, just realized I've been watching for a long time now and hadn't subscribed, so just did that. Always enjoy the videos and Smart Money Happy Hour!
I plan to retire and expire with a lazy boy, TV, and as little wardrobe clothing as possible. All my relatives have to move or toss out in 1 trip. As Sermons have said, you don't see a U-haul behind a hearse. I got 50 years to go.
Wait... people don't wear their clothes for years? How? I wear mine for years, and 70% of my closet are thrifted. (Like George mentioned, that excludes underwears, swimwears, tights, socks and company attires.) All my shoes except for a pair of running shoes are thrifted.
I’d be retiring or working less in 5 years, and only curious to know how best people split their pay, how much goes into savings, spendings or investments? I earn around $200K per year but nothing to show for it. I'm considered HENRY (High Earner Not Rich Yet)
consider financial planning, don't be a marketing niche for luxury brands like Gucci and Tag Heuer without having your income reproduce more money for you
I’m quite lucky exposed to personal finance at an early age, started job 19, purchased first home 28. Going forward, got laid-off at 36 amid covid-outbreak, and at once hired an advisor to help stay afloat. As of today, my portfolio has yielded over 300%, just about 10% shy of $ 1m. I'm on board with not buying unnecessary stuff but its fairly easy to stage a few rooms in a house and create a viral Tiktok video. I just assume most of what is on social media is performative and fake. When this is occasionally revealed, the creators just say it was always just meant as entertainment.

GenX here, this was normal for us, we didn’t have any money, I still live like this.
Retired at 48, doing fine, been on 2 vacations this year and doing my own work around the house.
Almost done chopping wood for next winter, my kids love some of my old clothing from the nineties 😁
The jazzy music is giving off country living
My friend always has most amazing dinner plates. One time wheh she had girls over, we were admiring our plates and she told us to look close at each others' plates. They were all different, but all white color. She goes to Goodwill and replaces broken or scratched up plates with just another white plate, same with bowls and desert plates. Nobody even noticed. 😂 I started doing the same, because if you buy a set and few break, it is impossible to replace with something matching. But solid color always works.
Thank you Lord Jesus for the gift of life and blessings to me and My family $14,120.47 weekly profit our lord Jesus have lifted up my Life!!!
As a beginner what do I need to do? How can I invest, on which platform? If you know any please share.

Glad this is back. Pre covid i was a zero waste girl. Then everything was wrapped in plastic during. I am so glad the pendulum is swinging back.
Thanks George. I don’t know how you manage to make me laugh in every single video when you just keep banging the financial responsibility drum.
“Some of my favourite stuff happens to be stuff.”
I'm a boomer and this what we did, and we learned it from our parents and grandparents parents. Reduce, reuse, and reecycle.
I should jump on this trend. We don’t have a bed frame, a couch and dressers in our home right now. Lol
🤣 “fruit loops art, ok”
I plan to retire and expire with a lazy boy, TV, and as little wardrobe clothing as possible. All my relatives have to move or toss out in 1 trip. As Sermons have said, you don't see a U-haul behind a hearse. I got 50 years to go.
My motorcycle makes me happy. Sometimes joy even.
Omg… the editing 😂 “things that could have been brought to my attention yesterday!” Adam Sandler 💀
Wait... people don't wear their clothes for years?
Stay motivated friends
@@AstridJohansen-z this is awesome! mind sharing advisor basic info please? in dire need of financial planning for my eventual retirement
Katherine Nance Dietz is the licensed FA I use. Just google the name. You’d find necessary details to work with and set up an appointment. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.
excellent share, curiously inputted Katherine Nance Dietz on the web, spotted her consulting page ranked top and was able to schedule a call session. Ive seen commentaries about advisors but not one looks this phenomenal
I'm 35, I still wear a lot of the same clothes from when I was 15
I derive happiness from buying stuff regardless of how I pay for it. Dr. Brooks should study me.
I tried Tello and the call drops were horrendously numerous. Probably fine if you're in the city though. Outskirts? Forget about. Verizon Prepaid is worth it.
I still have my kindergarten beach towel from almost 30 years ago

Right, or she has at least been saving up for hard times 😂
3:35 Red flag on those Reeds ginger ales, those things go for like 2 bucks a pop
Apparently I'm a on-trend Xennial, been doing this underconsumption core thing for years, but what's wrong with the jars?
Great tips, I wished more people lived a minimal life
Seems like common sense to me. I didn't need a Tik Tok attention seeker to tell me most of these things.
I'll keep saying there's a significant portion of Gen Z who know what's up! Shining Stars! ✨️
I dont understand why not just save, invest, and have nice things...
They should, unfortunately, people don't like to be disciplined enough to do that lol

There's nothing wrong with glass jars.
GEORGE! Where'd you get that dope jacket?!
I knew when i saw people showing the tightwad gazette books that we were being frugal again.
Buying stuff just to buy stuff isn't good, but buying stuff for my hobbies is money well spent, it's kind of like buying experiences because my hobbies is where I spend my time.
I don't think those Rae Dunn bowls were passed down generations. Haha!
2:20 I know this isn't exactly what she's doing here, since de-potting is an efficient way to buy less makeup by purchasing only the shades you need rather than a whole kit each time, but using or combining old and used makeup can cause breakouts and infections to occur. There's cheap, and then there's harmful.
Funny thing is how many of those people are doing it just for the video or to fit in.
Don't listen to this guy he doesnt know what a treasure your grandparents canning jars are.
How many times can they rename the word 'budgeting'.

It’s simply being frugal..children need to recreate things that already exist to make them feel special..important or maybe to start a new trend.🤨🤷🏻♀️
And Future Proof just released a video now on this concept of the underconsumption core and how it will fail. This is hilarious!
How about we normalise "normal consumption". You can decorate your house, just don't go overboard.

GenZ Underconsumption Core videos exist on TikTok.
Me: Wow, this generation has some hope...
Also on TikTok, videos of people trying to buy Hello Kitty merchandise like crazy.. I mean really crazy!
Me: Never mind....

Hello , I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
It's Maria Frances Hanlon doing, she's changed my life.
After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸 also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom.

I love how these kids think they are doing something new by wearing clothes longer than one season. When my son was about 12 yrs. old (now 32) he came home from school and told me and my husband that he and his friends had discovered a new band that had the coolest music. My husband (his dad) asked what the name of the band was and he said ACDC. We just laughed.
