Very helpful! Thanks for linking the Brontë house, and the national parks. I always like to have some sort of vision before I read.

The first time I read this, it must have been a 🐧 Penguin Classic, there was a diagram of the family tree and i remember referring to it often.
Emjoyed your tips and i particularly thought it was a good idea to look at the landscape. I'm in Australia and can't image what the landscape could be like. A wasteland here is a desert and extremely hot.

A far cry from wet and gloomy, I'd say!

I just finished Wuthering Heights. It’s so powerful! I didn’t expect the extreme violence.
The hardest challenge indeed was the names. But good thing the common penguin versions have family tree in the first page. It’s a little spoilery when it comes to who will marry who and who will die, but it didn’t take away from the intense power of the novel.

I hadn't thought of a family tree as a spoiler, but of course it would be. Interesting--maybe better to draw your own as you go.

I believe the name-challenge might have been intentional 🙂
A week ago, I visited the place - walking from Stanbury - Top Withens - Haworth (via Emilys Bridge). Fantastic place.
