Doubt this will help the marginal design last! In my case decided to upgraded the SLA batteries to 10 Ah, 36 volt SLA and the OEM motor couldn't handle it with my weight 220 And a 80 llb girl that uses it mostly. Between my occasional use 1% + 99% girl use, the motor stripped out the internal shaft I guess (never disassembled) Razor sent me a replacement gear motor under the warranty period. The 10Ah failed within a year and have been using the OEM pack until recently. Just replaced the OEM Sla batteries with AGM PowerStar Battery 12V 9Ah G1000U UPS Battery 3 Year Warranty and they are working great so far. The Razor 500 is a toy after all but wish it had front suspension! I replaced the controller that failed with original type one and added reverse. (don't know if that contributed to the original gear motor fail or not). I would like to add front suspension but have no clue how to do that. I can weld and fabricate parts but this is too much of a design/build retrofit and no one has done this yet that I know of.

@@stephenvonvoros5405 thank you for the info. I finally got the quad a couple days ago. My son who just turned 4 jumped right in it and is doing great. So far it’s fast enough, but idk how long it will take until he begs for more power. His dirt bikes are much faster then the quad. I almost pulled the trigger on a lithium 12ah 36v battery but after reading your helpful response, I’m hesitating.
Since my son is only 42lb, I felt comfortable dropping the psi on tires a bit. Slightly under inflated tires seem to be helping with the lack of full suspension.
      I agree

I thought it was a straightforward conversion. It does require some skills that I don’t think I have
