Congratulations was a completely underrated album in general. It's gotta be in my top three albums of all time. You music critics out there you all should be analysing this master piece.
I agree it's underrated, I'm still confident it will reach a higher status over time (hopefully)... it's easy to right it off as recycling a lot of content just because you can identify a lot of surf rock / psychedelic tropes but if you really pay attention the composition is beautiful and distinct from even classic 20th century records...
this is so dystopian lmao the big room with a lot of empty space, the audience pushed up against the walls, the table of people with clipboards in the middle of the room, the psychedelic visuals, the audience clapping along quickly to a rather slow song, the wacky dancers (why are they performing a whole play D: ???), the total lack of expression on andrew’s face it’s beautiful

GonnaGalvanizeU he does have kinda a weak voice but I think he's improved - watched a few performances of songs from the new album on youtube and he sounds pretty good.
