I find it funny when supporters don’t agree with a opinion it’s nothing but crying that they hate your team lol get over it but I’ve got Geelong as top 2 tho
Both of your assessments on the Bombers supporters is inaccurate. Most of us have pretty much accepted where the level of the club truly lies and genuinely needs be going forward especially when Tasmania enters in a few years which is simply bottom 4-6. The club has wasted 20 years taking too many short cuts and sugar hits and ultimately avoided a proper, hard rebuild for years greatly thanks to the former List Manager Adrian Dodoro. With him finally gone for good and Matt Rosa taking his place, the priority has finally shifted towards building the list properly and focusing on the development of young talent that are likely be part of the next Premiership team. The list is considerably younger and the club will have a great draft hand to work with at the end of this coming season. Potentially up to 3 first round picks if Draper goes to the Crows in free agency and the club gets band 1 compensation for him which can either used to trade for a star or borderline star level player or just stock up on elite level young talent particularly in both key defence and key forward positions. Either way the future of the club is much brighter. As for this coming season. I personally expect others to step up more and help Merret carry the load. I especially want to see someone else other than him win the Crichton Medal for a change. Either Durham or Martin would be terrific. I want to see a better, more exciting brand of footy with much more movement in the forward line instead of long kicks to big packs consistently intercepted by opposition defenders. I want to see underperforming players dropped far more often rather than constantly persitted with and great VFL form from the young players actually rewarded. I want to see players back in their best positions. Martin especially should never be playing at half-back period.
Agree, don't think we will see many wins (by many, I mean more than 11), but at least, hopefully, we won't see too much of blokes like Shiel, Menzie, Lav, Parish, Setterfield, Goldy, Wright etc. Not disrespecting them, but just want to see kids being given a go ahead of them & going past them somewhat, at the very least, if selection between them & younger kids is 50/50, has to be the kid. You are spot on about underperforming players being dropped.

We will take a couple steps back to take steps forward in 2025, but it won't be because of Stringer, it'll be because of the overall decrease in average age/experience.

I think crows will make the 8 this year. Many teams already have key injuries to key players and many of those key players have gone through surgery over the off season. Curnow may not have the impact that he had last year going through a knee surgery and also did it again in training and being kept an eye on. He will be conscious of that knee this year, especially the way he plays on how he constantly turns quickly. And I have always said, no Curnow, no Carlton. I also see freo doing better this year. Sydney and Melb will slide, WC will be better than last season. Giants depends on how they mentally take their last few dismal showings in finals, it could be ok or go badly. I also think that the premiership will be won by the team finishing in 2nd. Big believer in law of averages and its been a few years now since its been won from second. I also said prior to last season that the flag wont be won from top spot seeing its been won 3yrs running prior to the last.
