I make a good amount of mathematics animations.. I can say, with some experience, that Latex graphics (particularly those with Tikz) are some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. And they are frankly difficult to produce - much respect.
At 20:41 (and at 20:51), it's worth noting how the handout option handles \only, \onslide, and \alert content. For anyone planning on making handouts, you may want to avoid overusing \only, since it can make the handout version confusing.
I’ve been using LaTeX for pretty much every document and presentation I have to write. Another benefit I get, is the ability to put the document in version control
I am a teacher myself and have been using Beamer to get classes ready for years. I would love to take it a step further and make the same style of pre-recorded videos you are making. I have camdasia but my Sony camera wont integrate to my PC. I assume you are getting that visual feedback on a monitor during recording that shows your position on the display and ensures you don't block content you want students digesting. Can you give a quick summary of the equipment and technology you use? Perhaps include how you make your maths videos where you are navigating graphs and accurately pointing to important behaviours. Cheers
Can you add this to the latex playlist? I plan on watching through all of them soon so I would like to get to this after those so would be nice if they’re all in one place. Thanks for making these!
Very good tutorial, will be immensely helpful for my presentations. Would you mind sharing what software you use for the screen recording with your overlay?
Got me started on making my presentation, thank you I do have one issue with the Berlin theme, a small white vertical line at the right side I can't seem to make it go away and I would really like to continue using this theme as I like it the most out of the ones I tried online searches don't seem to come up with a solution to this it's a minor issue that nobody would probably notice so it's not hugely important, but I tend to be overly perfectionist about this stuff so anyone giving me a fix to this would be welcome and would surely calm my mind a bit
Can you please show how to include bibliography in the presentation. It seems that overleaf generates compile error time out when the bibliography section is not included properly.
Thank you so much for this excellent presentation. I have a question: How can you remove name and title in the footer of the slide that shows up all the time "Trefor Bazett Beamer You tube"? I really do not like carrying my name and title all the time. I find it useless. Thank you again!
How do you set locale (languages) in Latex Beamer? So for example, I don't want the word "Theorem" on english, but on some other language when i write \begin{theorem}?
I'm sorry , I'm not clear weather I can ask this.. I'm a 8th grade student aged 29. I'm trying to learn math , since I'm willing to do a PhD in fluid mechanics. So I started with calculus. Which I eventually understand nothing. So I started brusing the basics. Now I'll stuck jn algebra. My doubt is. We find roots of a equation that consists single variable. How to for a multivariable equation. Of higher orders. I'm not talking about system of equations, with linear or transcendental property. I.e , which part of math should I know to find roots for a multivariable higherordered equation. It's finding application in gaussian surfacing and greems iterations
Hi @DrTrefor, currently I am using overleaf to make beamer presentation. My demo teaching is scheduled two weeks from now. Just encountered some problem here because whenever I convert the downloaded pdf file to pptx file, the font suddenly changes and it really changes the formulas and ruins the presentation. what should I do?
I do Computer Vision and beamer just can't handle video nicely. Especially after Adobe drop support of flash, you need `animation` to show them and compilation becomes a disaster. I feel markdown generated html presentation fit me better...
hey Dr.trefor I am mohammad from Jordan I whould like to tell that I have successfully solve the ( Gabriel's horn) paradox so I am asking how I can publish the solution to The world

Dear Dr. Prof.
Dr. Trefor Bazett! How to draw complex analysis plots in Latex? With respect Jonibek
I fail in calculus. hopefully i will become a math prof too
Thankyou so much sir
May I know what is your laptop you are using?
Sir,how to download the presentation ,created in overleaf in pptx format. Every time I am trying to download it is coming in pdf format. Please help.
12:41 "Proof Left to the Interested Reader." Ah a classic proof by delegation. Love it XD
I laughed at this too hard and noticed the same thing.😂
"Proof by Delegation" 😂😂😂

LaTeX and Beamer are what my statistics professor use at grad school. Glad to see how to navigate through it on RUclips! thanks!
My pleasure!
Very well explained. I am sure this will help thousands if not millions of students who were struggling to make a good presentation like me.

Color me interested- Can you elaborate on what you mean by putting documents in version control?
I greatly appreciate these LaTeX videos. Thanks!
Thanks! I just started using Beamer. This video will save me a lot of time.
Absolutely brilliant presentation of beamer. Much(!) appreciated.
You may want use the *lipsum* or *blindtext* packages rather than copy-pasting a bunch of text just to fill the page in. Makes the text more diverse.
hey, how to download the presentation ,created in overleaf in pptx format. Every time I am trying to download it is coming in pdf format. Please help.
Very first time i understood the commands for slides using overleaf...Many Many thanks!
Just when I needed just such a tutorial, thank you!
Thanks, this is so clear and handy.
This vid really helps me out. Thank you, Sir.
AMAZING VIDEO

Thanks. Inspired!
Thanks. That was useful.
Hi prof. Brazett, would you mind sharing the doc you showed in the video? Thanks for sharing these resources!
Sir , You are awesome 🔥
I'll have to try this for my next graduate research presentation
Awesome Dr.

Also could you please link to this project in overleaf so we can copy it as we follow along!
Summed up nicely the features of latex and overleaf.
11:20 .. I was struggling to find out how I can remove them .... thanks a lot for this one ...and overall the whole series..
I started at have no idea how to use overleaf, to create a beamer nicely. Thanks!
Thank you ❤️
Can you add this to the latex playlist?
I plan on watching through all of them soon so I would like to get to this after those so would be nice if they’re all in one place.
Thanks for making these!
13:08 This made laugh so much!
Thank you sir
Thanks alot. Exactly what I was looking for.
Waiit!! So is this how my economics profs all seem to have the same slide template? I didn't realise they were made from LaTeX beamer
Very good tutorial, will be immensely helpful for my presentations.
Would you mind sharing what software you use for the screen recording with your overlay?
Professor, how to emphasize certain words with different colors in a beamer presentation?
Got me started on making my presentation, thank you

thanks for the good information
Oh boy, now I know how the lectures are made.
Haha yup!
Can you please show how to include bibliography in the presentation.
It seems that overleaf generates compile error time out when the bibliography section is not included properly.
Hello !
I have a Beamer template folder of my university containing different files. How to use that for my presentation in overleaf?
is there an advantage to using columns over a tabular environment?
What's your recording setup? OBS with a green screen?
Exactly!
@@DrTrefor I'd love a video on how to set it up, I'd like to get a similar setup for making educational videos. and it would be super useful
Thank you so much for this excellent presentation. I have a question: How can you remove name and title in the footer of the slide that shows up all the time "Trefor Bazett Beamer You tube"? I really do not like carrying my name and title all the time. I find it useless. Thank you again!
A lot of good information here; some zoom ins could be helpful, the text is a little small for me.
thank you for this nice video
that was amasing the way that you explain all of this.thank you a lot.I have a question how can i add a sound in beamer file?
how to download the presentation ,created in overleaf in pptx format. Every time I am trying to download it is coming in pdf format. Please help.
Hi , plz what operating system are you using , thnx .
Pls kindly do a video on package titlesec in manipulation with tikz package this is very important.
Can you make a video about adding embeded videos in beamer presentation that does not use Flash Player.
thanks, good tutorial.

Very funny that you chose your PhD defense of all things you may have. Sounds like it was engraved on you mind!
Torus and cup are topologically same. Visible on your T-Shirt..
Hi, do you know how I can set the italian language? the source page shows me all the text underlined in red like is wrong... very annoying
Hello, can I make beamer slides with Texmaker? Thank you.
I’d just leave as .pdf, switching to PowerPoint sort of defeats the purpose and will be really messy
Thank you so much. I just found out that there is a presenter mode for pdf readers. No need to convert to pptx😅
Hello, how can i make an organigram with latex?
is there a way to change the font?
My winedit is not compiling beamer file at all what should I do??
It shows error in beamer.cls file.
Hey how do I import a slide template to this ???
I do Computer Vision and beamer just can't handle video nicely. Especially after Adobe drop support of flash, you need `animation` to show them and compilation becomes a disaster. I feel markdown generated html presentation fit me better...
suggestion:animation of tikz figures in beamer
zajebiście stary, robisz nam prezentacje

Dear Dr. Prof.Trefor Bazett! How to draw complex analysis plots in Latex?
I don't agree with the usage of overleaf. It wants money after a while. I suggest downloading latex and using VS code
or even better neovim with the vimtex plugin
It's his sponsor, so it makes sense he is using it.

Sir, your t-shirt is driving me crazy, and not in a good way. It's making me angry :)
these are so ugly . its really annoying to read and understand when teachers use this format for slides
Thanks but too much talking.
he is a professor
I put you a like.
