Hello! The skin is now ready for distribution. This is the link: drive.google.com/file/d/1r375T1X0YC_DkWQwgkyCRu4Ed0lAQPqa/view?usp=sharing I don't think I'm sharing this to the skinning forum as a remixed skin until I'm confident enough ppl aren't going to absolutely blast me into oblivion. I feel like that's a thing they'd do. So changes between the video and the skin: - Selection Menu Buttons are different - The skip text for a start of a song is skinned - 1K-7K is now available (I got lazy with it. It's not made to look good since I only ever plan to play 4k and 7k so I did not really try with the other key counts) - Note receptors are shorter (they still jut out a bit during LN, but it never bothered me) - Back button is now slightly translucent as I felt it stood out too much - Combo number colour doesnt change upon holding an LN (I never liked that) Also I did keep the green profile background because... it grew on me. Idk, it feels like without it the song select menu loses too much of its menu identity. Goals for a new version if I ever do it: - Provide more note colours - Skin each mod selection square - Possibly make a normal song select menu - Get fancy with the imagery (that'd require me to be good at digital art lol)
Yes. The notes and LN are based on RoBeats. The back button and result screen buttons have icons that originate from Phigros. I took them from the Phigros DEUX skin.
Yea the notes are obviously based on RoBeats. What isn't completely obvious is that the Back button and result screen button icons are from Phigros. I took them from the Phigros DEUX skin because they're very nice.
@Noahtjj1 i am releasing it. If you look in the description, there's a few things I plan to do that I don't think will take long. I'll make a comment on this video when I release it with the link

The stroke on the top text doesnt match the retry/highlighted option box, speaking of the highlighted option box, you didnt even apply the stroke right. I dont wanna nitpick grammar but the text you put arent titles, why does every word start with an uppercase? 3:18 - 2.5D effect is interesting and im not opposed to it, but you did it completely wrong. Blocking out the 2.5D hit position thingies instead of just making them dimmer/lighter upon pressing is weird and you didnt skin the LN's properly. i mess with what you did with the mania-hit files, never seen it before and looks cool then everything else is barely skinned and keeps default elements. im gonna fix ur skin lil bro
@@polynymAlrighty then, go for it. I'll release it soon. I'm opposed to people who say things without backing up their claims, but you do have points which is what i look for. Address the fail screen, the squares were randomly placed but with the intent of being top to bottom in 4 imaginary, not necessarily even, columns. The images were definitely not going to fit nicely as I realized, but offsetting them was intentional as you can see by the directions of the white corners. It's like looking at a paper and then the paper over it, makes it easier to look at. I do think the Upper Case Lettering is subtle enough to be impactful without being overwhelming. Finally, The option boxes I have no clue what you mean other than the swapping of outline and inner colour, which was completely intentional for ambiguity. I am an enjoyer of not-completely-balanced. For the 2.5D notes, yes the LNs have never really lined up fine. In fact, I have a version of the note receptors which is a copy of the normal note but grey, though it is of course different shape than the LN. It's mainly due to the need to accommodate for a circular shape and then a capsule-like shape, so I did the one that bothers me less. As for the blocking out receptor thing, you're gonna have to explain or show me. I only know to block the receptor or make the note go behind. Finally, the menus are minimalistic. I do admit that. I wanted the results screen to not have much, be a breather. As for the song select, I will admit the only reason I made it the way it is now is because of a bug I accidentally found, removing the song thumbnails from the menu buttons. It's caused by not having a version written in the skin.ini, I know that now. But I decided to play around with it and liked what I got. I can take a more serious attempt at the song select menu now that I know why the bug is caused, but I'd rather not do that now. Plus, I like big pictures. I look forward to seeing what you do when I release my skin.
@@polynym Skin is now available. I guess I should have said this sooner but I don't want it to be like "oh you're making bad excuses", but you will find that I used Medibang Paint Pro, as all the .mdp files are there. Idk if that makes your life easier or harder, but it's there. As for why I call it bad excuses, it's because Medibang probably isn't better than most other digital art apps for this type of stuff, but it's probably better than MS Paint 3D (which I was using before skinning menus).

The skin looks cools. Kind of reminds me of ro beats skin

Funky Friday.
@@ethanv1992 what about it?
I meant this in a what do you mean context. There's nothing funky friday about it.

Ok sure "lil bro". If you're so big, actually tell me if there's something wrong with it. And I will be the judge of your answer.
