My dad had MS for 36 years before he passed. He was one of those people who used a wheelchair or scooter, but was able to walk a few steps from that to a regular chair. And the reason those people are allowed another person to board with them, is so that they have help. Flight attendants are not there to do that sort of thing and the airline doesn't want to be held responsible if someone gets injured.
Also because regular wheelchairs don’t fit down the aisle. My dad couldn’t walk at all and they had to get a different chair for down the aisle. It took sooo long. Believe me, you’d rather have people walk a few steps if they can.
@andrewtruex oh I was definitely being sarcastic with that comment. I love it when Aaron talks more, I just know when Nate gets back he won't be able to be as vocal.

Wow... just a great episode! You guys are always great, but this is the most laughs I've had on an episode since 100 or so. Nate better get back soon cuz you guys are gonna take over!
I’m almost certain that Rob Schneider is the PA announcer in Necessary Roughness. One of the greatest football movies of all time. Featuring Scott Bakula and Sinbad.

Aaron, Dusty and Buttermilk, you guys killed it this episode. We already knew Dusty isn't sure about the moon landing or the curvature of the Earth, but now we find out he thinks silent 'g's are a hoax as well. Fantasic - it's amazing what you guys can do without that millstone, Nate, around your neck.
Dusty was close, but I think it's more about physical technique. Brings pool and darts back under sports, but makes clear that chess and poker are not sports. It also makes room for golf and bowling.
Dang Aaron was a ball of joy this episode… I didn’t think I could like Dusty anymore but then they asked about favorite baseball movie, I said Major League, then Dusty said Major League! So quotable and fun! Also, Space Jam is Michael Jordan’s greatest contribution to the world!
I want to see Dusty here in Denver, at the newer Comedy Works in DTC. Maybe you’ve been here, but since we just moved back to Colorado, I’m re-requesting.
I truly enjoyed that when Baseball brought up what is your favorite sports movie, that Aaron started a debate about whether comedies can even be great movies and pulled up a list with Schindler's List on it... Favorite movie and Best movie are different dicussions. Come on Notre Dame...
I have NEVER listened to any of Babydaddy Bates comedy until just now. I decided to RUclips some of his standup to finally give him a chance after the last couple years of not thinking he’d be very funny. I have to say, he is HILARIOUS! You have a new fan Breakfast! Thanks for the content boys!
One of the greatest sports movies ever is also one I think Beautiful Bates will enjoy. It’s Chariots of Fire, the story of Eric Liddell. One of Liddell’s great lines, “God made me fast and when I run I feel his pleasure.”
So funny. Aaron mentions Cinderella Man and then says it’s about the Great Depression, right up my alley. Dusty and Breakfast move on without acknowledging. Classic!
Hello Folks and Hey Bear 🐻 Did anyone mention Raging Bull? I know it is not for everyone, but Bobby De Niro did win an Oscar for his portrayal of Jake La Motta...
I work at a university, which means a lot of people get offended if you say something is not a sport, but the bottom line is not every competition is a sport. A sport is an athletic competition in which two parties are working against each other offensively and defensively. Bowling, curling, golf, and track are athletic competitions but they are not sports because each party just does their best without defensively impeding each other. Chess is a competition which is neither athletic nor a sport. These definitions don't necessarily imply that those other competitions are inferiors to sports; however, it does happen to be objectively true that sports are way better.
Maybe it's just because I'm a Buckeye fan, but I think they should make a documentary on the Ohio State 2014 football season. Right before the season started, we lost our star QB to a season ending injury during practice. Our 2nd string QB then took over and played great until he broke his ankle in our final regular season game. Finally, our 3rd string QB took over and ended up winning the BigTen Championship as well as the first ever college football playoffs where we beat Alabama and Oregon.
I flew Southwest when my sons were 8 and 10. They sat several rows behind me. Going home, they were gifted a basketball, which didn’t fit in their bag. They were mostly quiet but everyone did notice them once their ball traveled down to First Class on our decent into Cincinnati. They got laughs from the aisle passengers. Since I hadn’t sat with them I could pretend I didn’t know them. A win for a mom sometimes.
Ok, when do we get to watch you guys watch that movie at Dusty's house? I'm picturing a set up like Mystery Science Theater where you all sit, silhouetted, in front of a screen and do commentary during the entire flick. It would be perfect.

I can’t believe Aaron went a whole episode throwing out Disney Channel Original Movies about sports, and didn’t mention easily the wildest one: The Thirteenth Year! The story about the boy who found out he was Half-Mermaid while competing on his middle school swim team when he kept growing fins every time he was in the water.
YES thanks to Aaron for representing us Disney kids! Those movies were the best especially Double Teamed, Luck of the Irish, Motocross, etc. Also, my favorite sports movie is McFarland. You gotta watch it if you haven’t seen it! It’s unbelievable
As good as it gets with Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt is a great movie. They won best actor and best actress respectively. I guess it's considered comedy/drama, but it's still great. Columbia is not a goddess, but the female personification of America, named for Christopher Columbus. One of many evolving iterations of the way America has depicted the country. Who we refer to as Lady Liberty is often named Columbia by the artist. Another fun fact: Columbia early on was often depicted with a plain cloth cap, and not her more recent crown, visually tying her with the ideals of populism and democracy of the French Revolution. And in honor of the French Revolutionaries, here is a fun Brian nickname that I’d love to see Nate attempt: Bourgeoisie Bates
My family and I have taken a beating these past couple of mouths with random sicknesses being passed around: pneumonia, covid, colds, and the stomach bug. Consequently, it’s been difficult to get back into the rhythm of normal life. This made me wonder - how often does sickness disrupt your ability to perform or affect you while you’re on the road? Do you ever need to knock down multiple shots of DayQuil just to get you through a set?
I want to preface this comment with I loved this episode, but I could almost hear Nate saying “What are we doing here?”. Especially when Baneberry reintroduced the Dukes of Hazard conversation to make the weakest point ever. Thanks for all of the laughs and keep up the great work fellas.
I usually like Aaron, but good lord, arguing that all these movies aren’t sports movies because they represent others things or transcend the actual sport drove me insane. That’s literally what sports are and do. They are a microcosm of the world. They truly are the last great intersection of all the different people on earth. Also, loved that you waited for him to be gone to have a planet fitness commercial last week.
"I'll really tip well at like a Waffle House." "Well, they know you there." Brian at it again with another great roast...

I’m 100% on the same page with Dusty about rocky 3 it’s so underrated. Mr.T was an amazing antagonist.
