- Forget potential - this USC team is ready to win NOW. Their incoming freshman class, including the unstoppable JuJu Watkins, is unlike anything we've seen before. Domination is coming, and I'm calling it: National Championship bound! In this video, I explain why USC is the team to beat this season and how they're about to start a dynasty.
Not if south Carolina has anything to say about it.
Certainly looking for real parity in the game, go USC. If SC wins again it's just more of the same. Here's the pattern TENN, UCONN< and now SOUTH CAROLINA, that ain't parity.
There’s no doubt 2024 recruiting class of the USC women’s basketball team is fantastic! Kennedy Smith clearly is the best two-way player in the McDonald west team and Nike hoop summit USA team. Kayleigh Heckel is the best PG in the McDonald and one of the reasons why the east team dominated the west team. If USC gets a dominant PF from transfer portal and I hope it’s Kiki or Timea or both , then USC will be lock-in for 2025 final four.✌️

juju watkins is smooth with the ball in her hands but she needs to improve her efficiency. shooting 40% is way too low for a girl with her skill.
Yeah efficiency up, and turnovers down. At least in the tournament, her TOs doubled. More weapons offensively should allow her to be more selective, plus an off-season of work
Yeah Rayah was not their 2nd best player last year. She is the key IMO. If she and Kiki control the middle this team is unstoppable.
This video needs a sequel since we'll have film on Smith/Heckel (fiba u-19), Howell (Canada u-19/Olympic scrimmages) and the starting rotation announced going into the fall exhibition games.
What's your depth prediction for them rn?
@@R2XC it’s definitely getting one. I saw they just announced their game in Paris against Ole Miss not long ago. I can’t call it yet, just been keeping on eye on their workouts and an ear on the next recruiting class as they start to trim their lists down

Good video, but not one mention of South Carolina? Gang Starr my brother, " A mind is a terrible thing to waste, show love, cause it's a terrible thing to hate." Playing in the Big 10 going to be different, little more physical..... not saying they soft, but it will be a challenge. Looking for to seeing it though, good talk!!!

Don’t worry though, after the portal closes the rest of the top 5 or 6 schools will get their own vids. Just waiting on some roster finality
Joyce edwards is the best two way player in the 2024 class
I can't disgaree, but it was Kennedy with 6 stls and scored the last 9 of 11 for the US team in the Nike Hoop Summit game. She's the best two way wing in the class
Joyce had 25pt 7rds 6stl 3rds 2blks in Jordan brand game & pick Kennedy pocket took it coast to coast. They both are good players know doubt
@@Bigballer-r7d facts. I have Joyce at 1, 1B. I will say though, nobody her size has really been any competition this summer. Koval doesn’t have me sold. Finesse, but not physicality-wise. Sarah was on her team in the McDonald’s game. I know she’s good regardless but interested to see how she looks against the 6-4, 6-5 players that can really go. Kennedy is facing better comp at the wings at G spots
So USCwill beat Uconn who will be returning Paige and folks that were hurt this year and Sarah steong #1 player in high school
I did say UCONN will be there, with a strong class because I knew Strong would commit there (plus Azi and others back). Also said USC (S Carolina) coming back with Fulwiley and the crew, adding Joyce Edwards would be tough. I just didn’t go into detail about the other teams because I plan on making videos about them as well
I believe Joyce Edward's is the best player..not a fan of SC..but she's the best HS girl player I've seen in this class.
I’d take her first if I was drafting. But seeing both of them play a lot quite a bit, I just don’t take issue with them ranking Strong 1. It’s like a pickem for me, I’m going with the extra size, defense, and 5.0 GPA that Joyce brings personally
Live Mic! As enthusiastic and optimistic as you may be about USC's chances of going all the way Dawn Staley's returning players of South Carolina will be better, more experienced in winning big games and with a good center will be UNSTOPABLE! Yeah! P. S. But you can dream!
I acknowledged them (I just called them USC as well) but they were undefeated and then still lost to little Iowa with one 5 star player. It gets like that sometimes lol. With two homegrown players in Fulwiley and Edwards, I like SC more than I ever have

I will say this for USC, Caitlin dragged Iowa to the championship game twice with no other high ranked players. Imagine her with a Kennedy Smith and Rayah Marshall. I know they’re two different players but Juju WAS runner up for POY, as a freshie
@@micdewitt good point..juju isn't the playmaker that Clark is yet to be able to life up lesser players in that fashion and the spacing Clark creates is a factor juju won't have either..usc is gonna be right back in position tho.. their incoming point guard Heckel is nice af

UConn has number one class with Strong, Ziebell and Cheli.
IDK about that, I know they moved up when Strong committed but USC added more 4 stars after that. When Shamblin reclassified last week, everything I read still said she was joining the #1 class. Could be wrong though
@@micdewittStrong is the undisputed one. Ziebell is ranked 7th and Cheli (who was just named 1st team Naismith All American.) is ranked 11th. That is three five star rated players in the top 15 with two players with a 98 rating. Quality not volume is the key as Auriemma seldom brings in more than three at a time.
@@josephpullaro3159 USC has #6 (should be 3 lol), #13, and #16, 3 in the top 16. I guess having the 47 and 50 puts them over the top. Idk how they quantify the quality over quantity or what their ranking system is, but the quality is very close with the 3 5 stars alone. But like I said in the most recent vid, these rankings mean nothing once the players join their teams. Audi Crooks was 54 last year, Jadyn Donovan was 3rd while Madison Booker and Milaysia Fulwiley sat at 10 and 11.
Joyce is # 1 player in 2024 class and it ain't even close the best defensive player in the class !!

UConn recently beat USC with half of the Huskies players out with injuries. They already have Sarah Strong coming in, and if they land Raegan Beers through the portal, as rumors say may happen ....well, let's just say you may not want to bet the mortgage on USC. -- And why the annoying background music?
UCONN has the elite of the elite talent and top class every year, but it was Iowa playing for the championship the last two years with just one elite talent. Plus, you did hear what I said what about UConn in the vid, right?
Annoying is subjective. I try some with and some without, I don’t have a set template yet. My most watched vid has it, and this was the first to hit 1000 views so it’s may be a offend 20% to please 80 type deal. I’ll know with more testing

@@cfields12121 but let me add, Joyce is no joke but Kamilla was a cheat code. 12-15 boards and 60% from the floor with very little variability because of her size, her numbers you could write down before the game. And even with her it got close a few times. A freshman Joyce Edwards doesn't make up for a senior Kamilla, imo

Not gonna lie, I am a UConn hater. I hate that program. Like Notre Dame, I hate with a passion.......mostly from football. Hate the Ohio State stinkeyes and others.....but in a sports kinda way. I wish not ill nor malice to any of them. Becoming a fan of judea skies,..........but in the end.

@@rodolfohilliard1656 I agree, much more fun with parody. I personally think that's what has helped it grow, seeing South Carolina win, LSU win, Iowa making it to the championship. If South Carolina and UConn go on another UConn/Tenn type run I think it will stifle the growth. Hearing Staley she has two starting 5s is cool but I'd rather see Joyce Edwards with the minutes and green light that Clark and Watkins had freshman yr

If she is the goat, the stats from one game wouldn’t decide it. Most points by a freshman ever would weigh more on the scale than “9-25”. She averaged 27 and 7, with a steal and 2 blocks. There’s bigs that didn’t even average 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. We already said that her next step is improved efficiency, let her cook
