Thank you so much Mike! - Chris
Thank you Christopher, got the answers from you for the questions I have been thinking.
Thank you Mr Loo for your guest speaker.
Thank you so much for watching! - Chris
Christopher - thanks for the weigh in the risk with Oa as a base rather than invest all in SP
You are most welcome and thank you for watching! - Chris
Using psychology to motivate his clients- that’s a powerful technique in client retention and increasing customers’ satisfaction… most people feel immensely satisfied in gaming & winning the markets…u got to give it to Chris👍
Thank you for your encouragement Leslie! - Chris
LOL!!! Nice to see Loo being teased and being amused.
Key takeaway for me - regardless of what or how we invest, it’s good enough as long as the investments generate sufficient returns to sustain our lifestyles, especially when we are no longer working full-time and rely mainly on passive income.
Mr Loo, can you also share with us how you managed to grow your hair so much since last year. I have hair loss problem. Thanks.
Very good talk. We get to hear from Mr Loo & Christopher
Thank you for watching! - Chris
Don’t simply listen to investment gurus. They are there to offer you financial services as their clients. Successful investors will never share their secrets with you. Don’t be naive 😅
Well said. I m one 😂
Agree. Hindsight is 20 20. Just invest in a balance portfolio and be in the know. These are mostly mkt summary.
Good one MrLoo to have professional view
Why Dimensional Fund? I compared Dimensional Fund with SPY from 2016 to 2023, and SPY outperformed Dimensional Fund seven times. iShares MSCI ACWI ETF (ACWI) has a significant correlation with the S&P 500 Index (SPX). When SPY goes down, everything goes down. Should we simplify our lives and just buy SPY?
Buy othet type of asset
Very Hokkien and entertaining.. what is the answer to the last question? 😜
Lumpsum wrong time like Mr. Loo say really will Lao Sai, I like the approach of buy more when major crash or minor crash.
27:30 "you buy $500 also happy..." Chris is so honest about investing / fund manager business... Unfortunately happy doesn't mean they can help you become rich. Came back to add on/edit -- that said, Chris has excellent life views, recommend to watch his "downgrade to HDB interview segment"!
Enough is the big wisdom.
Thank you Christopher, we now all know Loo has $100 million! Haha

Even Aswath Damodaran, a guru of companies valuation, is not sure if he is able to beat the market.
The problem wiith crash buying is that investing on ATH is still give better returns than on -20% crash. Crash bying is like buying on 20% correction during 40% bull run.
So much wisdom
Time in the market then timing the market
Just checked several sources and the charts, berkshire hathaway has consistently outperformed s&p500. I wonder what he meant when he said otherwise. Hmm.
Thank you Mr Loo
Exactly that is what my fund mgr says too
You want to talk about managing personal finances or investment? Dont cloud the 2 together .
S&P 500 must have portfolio rarely does ILP with all the charges can bit it since time immortal
mr loo can investment fix my sitting posture?
Is Christopher’s article using lump sum or DCA?
Hi Nick, this is Chris' colleague Kyith here. Most of the figures in the article is based on historical return if you lump sum invest. Imagine putting a large amount of your net wealth into it. If we do dollar cost averaging, it shifts the "lost decade" further into a different time period. This means that an unlucky person can DCA over 10 years and the returns are not so great (but might be better than this lump sum investing). Hope this helps.
@@KyithNgHi Kyith, thank you for your prompt response. Yes, so I was thinking if one DCAs rather than lump sum, then the chances of hitting such unlucky 10-year periods where you see negative returns should be lower.
@@nickkeong7392I would like to add, that if you think about DCA is could be a sign you aim to too big allocation of risky assets.
@@nickkeong7392if u do a lump sum n reinvest the dividends every qtr ,it’s also DCAing, adding shares when it’s low (more shares) n or high.
What is the ticker symbol for MSCI All country etf?
To be more accurate, I bought VWRA which tracks the FTSE All World. But it similar to MSCI ACWI though not 100%. - Chris
this 2 mid age man are really funny! How Chris dig Mr Loo - WHAHAHA!
I just wanna share that Evian when spelt backwards is naive.
Loo got bigger tyre around the waist!
MY food hojiak!
Thats what i have commented on his videos before to emphasize on building muscles and not cardio. Men will lose muscle mass as they aged. And cardio speeds up that process. If he had taken this advice seriously and go build muscle his muscle would have helped burn his fats making his diet sustainable. Also he has to cut carbs. Limit carb eating to certain days
All these subtle promotion and messaging about Endowus or certain funds. Just admit you are promoting for them. Don't have to keep emphasizing your neutrality or "it is not financial advice". Also, he mentions some downsides in both active stock selection and passive indices, but then went on to introduce other alternatives funds with more expensive fees, which are also either passive like S&P500 or stock picking by managers? Also, if S&P 500 (which contains most of the world's best MNCs with global operations - not diversified enough??) is in depression mode or in "lost decade", you can jolly-well kiss goodbye to the chance that other isolated markets will be safe.
4:05 🤣🤣🤣
The elephant in the room these 2 guys didn't want to talk: which fund manager has CONSISTENTLY OUTPERFORMED THE S&P500
There is fees to be made if you go for what’s he telling you to invest. $$$$$
@@dennisyin2844 just becos they re old they think audience is simple minded...hiya
World ex S&P500 have a lot of period of outperformance. Exceptional results for S&P500 are just from last 20 years.
Thanks for the question. Sorry I missed out talking about this but I have written quite a number of articles on this as well. From evidence, most active managers do not beat the index and for those that do, they do not beat it consistently. This is why both Mr Loo and me advocate using index trackers to invest. Hope this clarifies and thanks for watching. - Chris
Barely any la obviously, hardly needs to be addressed if you have common sense
If loo can time the market on a case by case basis and always win, why is still a youtuber and doing multiple business? lol i think he just got lucky
because he can
He said he isnt always right. So you are wrong
He himself can admit he isn't always right and you still post this lmao braindead
No fund mgrs have performed consistently above S&P. No doubt they going boogie man S&P
But other passive funds were beating S&P500.
@@M43782 which one?
Mr loo is a bad interviewer. If u invite your guest and he's talking, let him finish. If u want to talk on your own, then don't invite and do your usual solo videos.
cut him some slack. everyone has to start somewhere. If I can find an excuse, that's because he is very passionate about the topic.
Mr Loo, need more exercise, tummy came out liao.
