- I've been going on Ultimate Adventure for a long time and this year I took Newb Sock. I got it done just in time and it was a great trip. To watch the official Ultimate Adventure videos find them at the Motor Trend Plus app or the Motor Trend RUclips page starting December 5th.

It just isn't the same without Pewe shouting "Driver's meeting!" every morning and providing voiceover on the videos.
The really need to have Pewe and Freiburger on Ultimate Adventure 2023.
I want to do a UA with pewe, Fred, Dave, freiburger, and dulcich. Fred you guys should organize a fans run over, like an extended weekend. Maybe a UA mini.
@@Isuzu_Paul Dulcich would be hilarious. That guy gets lost on every course he goes to so seeing him in the terrain would be awesome.
Two doors just look so good with that classic jeep look. I keep considering a 4 door as my next jeep, but my heart isn't truly in it.
Aah , so newb-sock was camera car .. now some of the choices make more sense .. it was also a really good example of how capable & nice looking a newish jeep with purely bolt-on upgrades could be

Fred is a real stand-up guy. Has no issues directing people back to Motortrend even though they didn't renew the best show on there "Dirt Every Day." Speaks volumes about character.
Out of all the vehicles on UA this is the one I could see myself driving regularly.
I really appreciate the build. Both you and Dave have reasonable builds that are much more obtainable and realistic for most of us.

Really enjoyed watching the Newb Sock build. I have a 2 door JL Rubicon that I've been slowly building up to hopefully do some adventures like this. Lots of great trails not too far from Hood River!

Enjoying these videos! Will you please make one where you show how to properly cycle the suspension, show the travel limiters, and calculate exactly how much bumpstop to add? Would be a great addition to the Newbsock series.
Really enjoyed watching the build. I have a 2dr JL with 35’s that amazes me off road. Looks like yours did the same at UA..

Lovin that pewter 2nd gen Blazer / Jimmy. Had the same one and dreamed about it looking like that someday :) Closest I got was a 2'' rough country lift and 31 bfgs-- before someone totaled it one night in a hit-and-run crash in front of my house right before covid. (Fortunately no one hurt, empty Blazer and street). Anyways, wasn't meant to be for me, but really cool seeing that build. Looks like they kept the 4.3 in there based on the location of the little snorkel. Cheers Fred, good to see Newb Sock in action!

Had motortrend sub till they canceled dirt every day so i canceled it and just watch you guys youtube channels.
Hey Fred, can we get a complete fleet update from you? We’ve seen a lot about Newb Sock recently and got a Clampy post, but we need to see your other junk too in their various states.

I enjoy your content, I’ve always looked forward to ultimate adventure on a yearly basis.. this year I will not be watching it. I will always support you here on your channel. I will not be paying them unless it’s to watch a new episode of whatever show your hosting for them next
I'm still waiting for Motortrend to figure out they made a mistake canceling Dirt Every Day and bring it back.

how did the 5.13s feel with the 37s? right choice or would you change? what rpms at highway speeds?
Seems maybe Milestar was a sponser this year but man, I'd love to have a chat "off the record" about your thoughts on them.
I guess maybe they make for better footage with the guys running them slipping, sliding and struggling to get up the trail where others tires didnt seem to have any issues.

I was legit angry about DED getting canceled. I hate that petersen’s is part of motortrend. It was the best magazine but motortrend will definitely ruin its name.
