My Aunt was living in northern New Jersey when Tropical Storm Sandy struck more than a decade ago now. She, at age 94, was without power for 29 days. I got there on day 4... and was able to provide power to her essential loads with my vehicle. She was pleased to have a hot cup of coffee... tho all the food in her fridge and freezer had already gone bad. She wasn't much for chopping firewood... but she did have a fireplace... so we heated her house that way and cooked with power generated by my vehicle and a 3500 watt inverter. You have a great situation... a backup and then backups to your backups... it's like you not only have plan B... but plans C thru Z. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. If you ever do have to weather a storm, let us know how things go.

Hey just an idea for your tire changer. Mount it in the corner of the pallet to give yourself more room. Also ALWAYS ALWAYS use lube to both take the tire off and put on. It will save you alot of work. I use water and dawn dish soap in a spray bottle

I was going to say the same thing. Definitely use soapy water for lubrication.

I have the exact same generator. I made the trailer that the generator sits on. I extended a hitch out the back so I could tow a trailer if I needed a bunch of electric tools. I also made a bracket that ataches to the hitch so that I can set my welder on if I just need my welder. I put a 60 amp range cord into a small panel box with a few 110 volt and 220 volt outlets. I could do minor repairs away from the shop. When I was diary farming it would start and run my 7 1/2 HP electric feed grinder.

Evan, a couple of tips from an old guy. I had a portable welder that had two 220 volt outlets and two 110 volt outlets. I could use the two 110s while I was welding for a grinder and lights. The generator was twice the size of yours and it was a 250 amp welder. It all was powered by a 20 hp Onan that did it effortlessly.
Also when you are dismounting tires you need to lubricate the beads with soapy water, preferably dish soap.
    We love your channel immensely.
