If you're wondering why Elrond got a headache and Legolas became nauseous when they heard Morgoth's black speech. They explain this well in the Silmarillion, but in short, it caused pain, suffering and madness to the elves, which is why many of the elves captured in the past, due to having a lot of contact with that speech, became orcs.
