Student breaks down after learning classmate died in shooting

The dad crying really hit me... the realization that he is his son’s hero vs. the realization that he can’t protect his son from the cruelness of this world.
Right! I felt that! He broke down because he knows his son just isn’t completely aware of that fear 😢
Of the world? You mean the cruelness of American schools because this doesn’t happen anywhere else buddy.
The cruelness of this world??
No, you are wrong. The fucked up belief in the US that guns are more important than these kids.
No where else is it like this. Nowhere.
This hit me hard. When a man cries, you know the feelings are definitely real. Not to downplay a woman, but men are usually strong and they don't display their feelings, let alone, cry. Especially in public.
that hit hard.
I’m glad people aren’t focusing on the shooter, giving him the attention he wants, but instead focusing on the victims and their families
This is very important,
I think his parents deserve some focus though. They're the argument against all these gun nuts saying they teach their kids how to be responsible and then buy them guns as fucking gifts.
@UCv0UyNMpagH0t6qjLg9F6dQ fr dude it's the kids fault 100% the parents could've done a better job but its the kids fault. Another person desribed him as always depressed and I'm pretty sure he's been bullied and the school system does nothing when you're getting bullied.

The dad bought the gun for his underage son and the mom texted him at the start of the shooting with "Don't do it", so these "parents" knew that their kid was whack and didn't stop it. Yeah, lock them up too.
Sadly those involuntarily manslaughter charges against the parents will be thrown out if it goes to trial, they may get them for lesser charges but the main charges won't stick.

Stop crying. It happens.
I could not either just heartbroken, so sad
Hi guys I hope youll read this and open your heart.. So, I remember my fears of death. However, I saw that the 10 commandments are God's law. As most people know, we all have broken them. I realized at a time, that I had lied, which made me a liar. I had stolen, which made me a thief. I had blasphemed God's name and used it as a curse word. The God who gave me life and created my DNA, I disrespected immensely with blasphemy. I thought I hadn't committed adultery. But Jesus said that even looking with lust is adultery with the heart in Jesus eyes. So wow, I was also an adulterer. I realized, if God judged me by the 10 commandments, I would be guilty. What about you? Have you broken God's law too? I thought since I was a supposedly "good person" I would go to heaven. But the bible says, "Most men will proclaim each his own goodness" meaning we all can defend our goodness. "I'm not as bad as that person! Well look at hitler! I give homeless people money"!But see, that wouldn't work in a court of law. If a man committed a crime like murder and tells the judge "Judge, yes I'm guilty, but I'm a good person. I help my family, I donate to charity, and I'll do better!" If the judge is a good judge, would he let the criminal go? No. He would say "I'm judging your crime not your good works. And of course you should do those things and of course you should be better. You're going to jail!" Well God is a perfect judge. He is just and the only righteous and holy being. He also not only knows our crimes, but our thoughts and hearts. So I would be guilty and deserve hell because its either be with God (goodness comes from God so heaven) or be an enemy to good and be separated from Him and all good (hell). But, He sent His only begotten son to die on the cross bcuz he's also merciful. But you may not know this: The 10 commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke the law, Jesus paid our fine. Thats why when He died, he cried out "it is finished!" Meaning the debt had been paid for us to accept. And He died then rose again and defeated death and what you have to do to receive reconciliation is to have your heart changed. We cant do that, we arent God. But He can do that. Seek Him and ask for reconciliation. He loves you. Most of us are like a person standing at the edge of a plane and we know we have to jump. And this is our plan: we'll flap our arms and save ourselves. Don't do that! Trust the parachute! Truly truly seeking God for reconciliation is belief because its believing He can answer. We cant give sin up but God will handle it if you seek reconciliation. Be humble and ask for His mercy. Once you truly do this, God will grant you everlasting life in heaven with Him as your father! And He will also give you a brand new heart that desires righteousness because of your faith. That is being born again. You will know you have been saved and that Jesus is your savior💕

I am disgusted by my country’s leaders and their inability to stop this BS from happening. These are KIDS trying to learn and educate themselves, have fun with their friends but instead we force them to face horrors of school shootings constantly.
You’ve hit the nail on the head…we’ve become a Nation awash in weapons that are designed to kill people. An AR-15 isn’t for hunting wild game! Mental Health needs to be a focus on Healthcare, the school counselor should not have allowed the Parents of this mentally disturbed boy to leave without their son & an appointment to a mental health professional.
how tf do you expect them to stop this
@@zaza7194 ???? Are there other countries right now experiencing the exact same tragedies we are? No? Maybe we should see wtf their leaders are doing. Cuz ours are getting bought out by the NRA And other pissant groups who want guns to stay on the streets. Also calm down your attitude bud, I’m a patriotic American who wants to see my country DO BETTER.
@@markdavidson1498 Yes,there are countries experiencing this but just in a different way. Like Mexico, China, and korea.I dont know why you think america can control all 700 million of its people.
People need to stop handing guns to this killer and to the Kyles of the world. It will end when the legislators start to care about the lives of people more than the grift they are getting from the NRA. Semi and automatic weapons should be F-ing banned from civilian possession. What ever these gun-nut-jobs think they are arming themselves against.. hasn't happened.. and in the meantime thousands of Americans have lost their lives to gun violence.
The GOP legislators have prevented any progress on this travesty and the blood is on their hands.
They love MONEY, POWER AND GUNS and F THE CITIZENS WHO DIED. That is, in essence, what they are saying.
It’s so sad children have to be trained for situations like this.
I know, this is just...horrible. This world can be so cruel.

it's not "Republican" Mayors where cities are being ravaged by goons packing- up like mad dogs and destroying those cities & sacrificing innocent people trapped there.
Democrats have demonstrated repeatedly that they only care about children when they can use them for a political wedge of some sort and then they abandon children, like they abandoned any other group once they feel they don't need them anymore.

This is so heartbreaking, we need to protect our kids.

People need to stop teaching their children to hate and buy them guns that they use to kill innocent people
The fact that the shooter was given the benefit of the doubt, even though they knew of his threats, is a HUGE part of the problem. Do better, America.
Now if you can understand it, why can’t everyone else??😔
The time for America to do better has passed. This is America and it will only get worse
who knew about the threats?
@@yomamaballsinmyw The school met with the shooter and his parents hours before to discuss his twitter threat along with a photo of a gun. The school dismissed it, and this happened. It was very preventable but sadly this school did not take the measures necessary to protect its students. R.I.P. to those who were lost, they had such bright futures ahead of them. I am glad to see that these two men can cry in front of each other. Too many men are raised to think that expressing sorrow and pain in the form of crying is weak. My father raised me that way. I decided to break that cycle with my son who is now 24 years old. I let him know very early on that it is not weak to cry, and is healthy and normal. I am crying now for the lives that were lost in this tragedy, and for this families pain. I can't imagine sending your child off to school, and waiting for them to come home, only to find out that they won't ever be coming home again. My heart is broken for all those affected by this tragedy. I only have one question to ask. Where did the 15 year old shooter get access to a handgun? I am a responsible gun owner, have had them my entire life, and taught my son how to use them very early on in life. All of my fire arms are secured in a gun safe accessible only by me. Parents who allow their kids access to firearms with this being the end result need to be charged with a crime as well as their child.
Edit: I see the parents bought the kid a gun and are now being hunted by the authorities. I hope they all go to jail for a very long time. This was totally preventable. Hug your kids and tell them you love them.💜😪
Thank you for breaking these generational curses
Well done, we are with you. Big hug for you as well.
Couldn’t agree more on the stigma that crying as a male carries as well as teaching your children from a young age the importance of respecting a fireman to the upmost while also practicing what you preach and showing that same level of respect and responsibility when it comes to storing guns in the home. Even with the knowledge there should never be a scenario where a minor could grab a firearm unsupervised, if it happens your failing as a parent, a gun owner, and a decent human being.
Idk what it’s like out there but it’s really not that hard it’s 12 n 13 year olds running around with .380s out here
His parents brought it for him.

As a mother of 6 minor children, a mother's heart is never at ease since the time she conceives. She always worries about her children, until the day she dies. She will never be the same. I'm asleep, yet awake since I first gave birth. I could be asleep, yet my heart and ears are always awake.
My condolences to the victims and their families.

@@OregonCrow I enjoy being sad? Grow the fuck up. Feeling sadness for people who lost their lives way too young, and for the people that were impacted by those deaths doesn’t mean I feel the need to be apart of something or need something to do with my time.
