I would honestly, unironicaly play this even if it didn't have a goblin maid or something like that. The idea of a game where you "reset" a recently adventured dungeon for the next adventurer is just a fun sounding concept. I could care less if our character was a goblin maid or an ugly orc.
Same. I like stuff like VCD, but they usually are either sci-fi or closer to real life. A fantasy setting actually seems unique and fun. Goblin maid is a nice bonus. Not my ideal fantasy creature as a maid, but I'll gladly take it.
Biggest criticism i have with this game is that its not dirty enough, the satisfaction factor of something like Viscera Cleanup Detail and Power Wash Simulator doesnt come across when the place is basically already mostly clean

I saw the mimic and immediately thought, "i wonder if you can get eaten bit it if you geet to close to the front/sides" since you pick it up from the back. And the 'name me' thing when approaching it from the front. It like innocently name me, then the character gets closer and the mimic eats her completely. No remains.
Credit where credit's due, this is quite a charming take on the formula, and I reckon seems to, at least visually, put in the effort beyond most carbon-copies.

Agree. Love the themeing but its just crying out for all sorts of quirky little details and environmental story telling. Like what viscera (and lets face it, its just vcd with fantasy theme instead of scifi, which im totally down for) had with bodies laid out in certain ways and notes and such. If youre cleaning a demon lords castle i needs like some depraved secret rooms or something. Or like skellies walking around that you have to bash apart so you can clean up the bones (not as enemies, more like walking mess). A lot of the value of something like this lies in the dark humor. Love the art style though. The traps are a pretty neat idea too.
I hope they add something where you can change to a more cartoony type goblin. I get everyone here is looking for their "sexy goblin shortstack." I'm not complaining, but I think it would be awesome if you could also play as a butler too or something.

Just imagine that someone keeps items in his inventory. This poor girl would have to run to last level, find you, steal it from you (a letter about quest), remove your signature from it in mid game level and then return it here to first level unsigned in drawer number 3
I know this is a little bit late to say but if you have problems with the laser eye turret thing you can "sneak" behind it and remove it from it's base disabling it and let you work easier.
i'd like these goblin maids if they were more goblin and less elf. they really do look and sound like green elves. or they could just cut the green skin tone and call it "elf cleanup" works the same
I know its a goblin game but imagine gettjng to play as different species at some point like a slime girl maid or ect. Tho it would be cool if a slime maid could clean up blood using her own maid tho it might slowly kill her

Ironically the goblin looks like the worst thing shown seems like a generic asset with no real uniqueness to it, the rest of the main aesthetics look really good and mechanics look pretty well polished. Though I guess you won’t really see the goblin most of the time since first person.

I don't remember VCD having traps, plus the point of a "clone" is to add variety more than mechanics. Nobody complained that Heretic was Doom but fantasy, or that Undertale was Bullet Hell but with feeling.

Meanwhile, this game has outright copied the mopping and waste disposal mechanics, albeit visually different. Mop -> pitchfork, furnace -> mimic, water bucket-> slime. 2. VCD did have traps. The sandpits in Unearthly Excavation comes to mind. And regardless, adding a few new mechanics doesn’t make something any less derivative. The core gameplay is the same.

The cleaning of the organic matter and blood is the same everything else is different. Restoring objects placement and restoring mana to others. As far as I know the only thing in VCD like that is the medic stations that you have to fabricate the refill then go replace it. It's more simplistic.

i think the slime is a ready to use mop and everytime a mop gets dirty,you just place a new mop to the stick.
They should make it if you combine the slime into one too big you get stuck & need another’s help or have to kill it to get out during multiplayer
