@@kylemertz7949first division title in 13 years, broke the rookie QB rushing record that lasted 12 years. Won OROY and only 10 win season for the franchise between 2000-2023. Not saying he was a legend in the league or was even successful here long term. Obviously it was a failure with the amount of picks given up and who those players became (Aaron Donald for one).

@patrickklippen3540 you're telling me ownership and mgmt had nothing to do with him being rushed back to play? Dan Snyder and the overall culture was horrible. Look up why Trent Williams left. You're delusional if you think this is all on RG3.

@HSHIN19 it's 100% on RG3. "Control the controllables"- this is a mantra all professional athletes and learned once they have reached that level. Sure, the culture and ownership sucked but RG3 was in control of himself and he failed, over and over again. Are you forgetting about "All In for Week 1"? Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Kirk Cousins, and Justin Herbert all had season-ending injuries in 2023. Football is a collision sport and pocket passers are not immune from serious injuries. So, I would agree that it's bullshit to use RG3 as a cautionary tale for Jayden Daniels. It's a violent game and shit happens.

TBH RG3 came back too soon, not once but twice. He should have sat the rest of the season and we now know he re-injured his knee that same season. RG3 returned for opener the following season but he did not have the same explosiveness that he had before the 2 injuries. I remember the reporters asking him his 1st year how would feel if they sat him the rest of the season, he replied, I would be pissed. I was a big RG3 fan I kept up what was going on. People reported how close he was with the owner, now I could see how that could be a problem. He had a HoF coach that put him in a great situation. The first injury was not the beginning of the end, it was the second injury in the same season, coming back so soon. I was listening to the broadcast of the 1st game of the following season on the radio, Boomer Esiason said during the induction, RG3 has to be very careful, you never know how quick the game can leave you. He can look across the field and see how hard it was for Michael Vick to returned back to the NFL, it humbled him, just be careful. Boomer was commenting on RG3 reaction to his introduction. If there ever becomes a 30 for 30, they could piece all that stuff together.

He literally addresses that IN THIS 3 MINUTE VIDEO. He was a 22 year old kid who had no idea what he was getting himself into. Most 22 year olds are too dumb to understand that grown men might be fighting over how best to exploit them. For a 22 year old, having the billionaire owner of the team want to be your friend literally wouldn't seem out of sorts to you. We only have hindsight to realize how toxic it made the culture of the team, but putting that on a child a few years removed from high school is laying the blame on the wrong people.
