- One community on the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, USA, has come together to help rescue a rare species of Sea Turtle: The Kemp's Ridley. Every year these Endangered Turtles wash up onto the coast and risk hypothermia in the freezing cold temperatures. The Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary has been working with the New England Aquarium for twenty-five years to try and keep this rare species alive.

i'm a massachusetts local and a regular on the mid-cape, my grandma lives and has her sculpting studio near the beach, and i love spending time with her.
we've spent so much time on the beach, with the dunes, over the years. and we've been up on the local help the Piping Plovers have received. Grandma doesn't do this internet thing, so i'll tell her all about the Kemp's Ridley turtles, and we'll have a box with warm comfy blankets ready when we go to the beach just in case!

I used to have summer vacation on the cape. I hope they do whatever they can to preserve the wildlife and habitat and natural resources they have there. Wonderful memories, please don't ruin that!
I am from about 15 mins from jekyll island Ga. And their sea turtle center does amazing things....Everyone involved in these turtles lives are amazing...so awesome to see so many people working together to save these amazing animals...hopefully the population can thrive and the species bounce back...thanks to everyone for saving these beautiful turtles ...thanks for sharing this story

Am a big turtles we need to fright for there several they are here to control different thing in the ocean. Sometimes I don’t understand what’s going on; if we do nothing are beautiful turtles are going to vanish in time .
