It was suppose to be his final performance, you can look it up ;). Both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy said that Arkham City will be their last performances as their iconic roles, but they then surprised us all by returning to voice as their awesome interpretations of the characters in Arkham Knight!
@@Luke-xi2pq tbh Hamil was as great as always but age definitely changed conroys performance as sometimes he couldn't maintain the same pitch and the dialogue delivery was just above average..tho in Arkham City it was near perfect
***** You have to remember that Origins was not created, developed, touched, looked at, or even acknowledged by Rock Steady (the guys who made Asylum and City) Arkham Knight is. They have planned out this entire series since the first game and knew what direction they wanted to take it. Origins was a cash grab by Warner Brothers.
Ardeshir Javid You can't judge a game by it's trailer(s). Look up Watch_Dogs E3 2012 footage, the game looked great but it turned out to be wortheless crap.
FPS players are like "Batman Arkham sucks all you do is mash x(square) the entire game." well all you do is hold the trigger button the entire game so..
***** As a big Batman fan I loved Origins as much as I liked the first two, they introduced some really neat mechanics like the detective sequences where you can rewind and fast forward a reconstruction of the crime. Some people didn't like it as much but I think that was because it wasn't made by Rocksteady and people don't like change...
Who else has watched this Angry Review multiple times? I absolutely love it, it was the first AJ video I watched a while back because it was one of my personal favorite games of all time and I was curious what others thought of it, I was hooked on his content ever since then and his opinions still help guiding me on what games are good or not good to this day!
Humble Bundle is the shit. You can pay whatever you want, and decide where the money goes. Humble Bundle, Charity, or Devs. You can even split it between the 3.
Why would you just play a dollar? I know you can but it's not a nice thing to do at all. The Humble Bundle and Charities rely on your donations to keep functioning.
***** At the time, it was all I could afford. Trust me, I wanted to pay more. There were a few other games that I could have gotten if I paid 6+ dollars. I would have paid 20, if I'd had it.
i did play this game for 30 hours, like he said. But the huge problem with this game is there is no replay-factor. Once you play it once, there is no desire to go back and replay it.
Definitely agree with the review. I think everything about Arkham City is a step up from Arkham Asylum...except for the story. I just like the concept behind Asylum more. Batman being stuck inside Arkham with Joker and the rest of his rogues gallery having taken over.
Agreed. Stories aren't that important in terms of how the game is made, but still could've work off better. Thankfully the gameplay of City makes it up the most & it's so much better than Asylum. I love Asylum; don't get me wrong, but City is just a blast.
For me, the combat ruined the entire game. I played it on the PS3, and in my single playthough, I only encountered minor glitches such as falling through floors. Luckily, I never experienced any major bugs that caused annoyances. The combat however, was tweaked to the point that it just wasn't fun. A few things that I noticed was that enemies would attack far more frequently (sometimes, I would have to counter five times in a row, which to me isn't fun), the lunge distances for the enemies were increased (and it seems like their attack speed was increased too), which caused some enemies to practically teleport to batman from the other side of rooms. I was also annoyed that batman would now target the closest enemies, rather than the most dangerous enemies (eg. if I want to destroy a thug's weapon, batman would target the thug with the baseball bat instead of the thug with the gun behind him).
The main story is pretty weak. Yeah, the side stories are phenomenal! Mr freeze, the joker, Ra’s Al Guel, it’s all great! But there is one character we all glance over in the city; Hugo Strange. The supposed main antagonist of the game. Despite being the main villain, he is the least interesting one. And protocal 10 is a joke! It’s the most uninteresting idea that could have been used. It’s like driving 120 miles just to buy groceries. Sure, it’s something, but was it worth it in the end? All that effort and time leads up to nothing spectacular. If it weren’t for this, the game would be a definite 10.
@@YaBoiBrendo Map design Color scheme Character design Story Just about everything in Arkahm City was weak besides the characters and even then Batman himself is not really dimensional as we seen him in other things. You're talking about a game that takes place in 1 whole night. That makes no sense and it sucks. Combat is good but batman moves like a ballerina is my only problem it's too fast.
This is a great game. It took a while to get use to the game-play and fighting style because I've never played this kind of game before, but once you get the hand of things.. it becomes very fun.
Glow Bat Very. I mean how can you have a batman game without the batcave? Asylum and origins even had one. It's even in the trailer but not in the game.
"The only villian to know Batman's identity" No, Ra's Al Ghul, Bane, and Hush absolutely know. The Riddler knew before he was forcefully put into a coma and forgot, Selina Kyle knows (could possibly not be considered a villain depending on how you look at her/timeline), depending on how you view the final scenes of Death in the Family Joker could also possibly know, and of course as you mentioned Hugo Strange.
Do people still not realize arkham origins wasn't made by rocksteady but instead by Warner brothers Montreal which is why it isn't nearly as good as the other games
There should be: - Arkham Metropolis - Arkham Region - Arkham Country - Arkham Continent - Arkham Planet - Arkham Star System - Arkham Galaxy - Arkham Universe
played through this game and I have to say it is certainly worth Joe's Badass seal of approval. This game really does rock. It feels like one 30+ hour long loveletter to Batman fans.
Arkham city was fantastic. As an adult I stopped playing games for years.. then I got laid off during the winter for a few months. Arkham city was the first game I played during my brief lay off. I loved it and now I'm very excited to play games. It reignited my fondness for video games.
Origins was such a massive disappointment compared to Asylum and City (especially considering I can never finish the main story in Origins due to a horrible glitch during the final boss fight)
i cant see where I am unless I pause it and I see the snapshot that occurs when the game is paused. otherwise it's just black and I cant see or hear anything...
Joe if you think the combat is lacking or shallow as you call it then I gotta say you are not doing it right. Once you get everything unlocked the combat in this game is what makes the game. Its literally one of the best combat systems in games period. Very innovative. One way you can tell is by how many games are copying it. I recommend playing the combat challenges in order to master the combat system and I pretty much guarantee you will change your view on it.
Bane is a genius, bro, he spends his free time translating dead languages, is not a big surprise he found out about Batman being Bruce Wayne given this, google it if you want confirmation .
darragh o halloran because he gets portrayed stupid in his boss fight during arkham asylum, that or one of the movies probably caused that judgement of his character.
Leonardo Caelum DUDE! If you haven't picked it up yet let me brighten up your day. It costs 25 bucks on the playstation store! Because a black Friday sale its 50% off but it only lasts untill the 29th so be quick or whoever reads this!
Gotham's corruption and incompetent law enforcement created the crime that gave rise to Batman and many of his enemies, not Bruce Wayne. There will always be those who argue that Batman causes more damage than he solves, using fear to inspire justice, but he had to do that in order to be effective while balancing his double life. He didn't have the luxury of being near-invincible like Superman. Bruce stood up for the people and city his parents died trying to help, all while doing what no one else would for a better future. If he played by the rules, nothing would change because the reality is that sometimes, the law isn't enough. He chose vigilantism for a cause that takes priority over the system, selflessly doing what's right for the greater good and being prepared to accept the consequences. History is filled with pro-conventional thinkers like that who made society better, even when they were largely hated at the time. As good old Michael Caine said, "he's not being the hero, he's being something more".
He did a video on it, but he's since removed it. He called it a buggy mess, said it was pretty boring and it got about a 6, which I agree with. That game was a disaster for the series.
why did he rated batman arkahm knight 6/10?in my opinion it deserves more than that. And when he says that he wanted the city to have more civilians i was like;why the hell you didn't say the same thing about the other previous games?
He's got a slightly different number systems. To most reviewers, 5/10 would be pretty bad, but to Joe it's average. 6/10 in Angry Joe Show would translate to 8/10 normal everyday reviewers.
Arkham Knight was using brand new next gen technology. That's why Joe expected there to be civvies. City was limited by previous gen technology, so they were forced to leave out civvies.
To be honest this game is very overrated, i mean combat is damn repetitive, feel like i'm just button mashing like in assassins creed 3 and 4 and the puzzles are boring as hell
If you think the combat is repetitive, then you just can't play the game. Not to mention, that only the most basic enemies can be knocked out by button mashing. I enjoyed the riddler puzzles, some more than others. Tell me, what games do you actually like then?
It's a type of combat system where in you can make it as deep as you want. It gets really hard if you want to get a high combo and it will involve more then button mashing. There is a reason this combat system is one of the best, it's because it's suited for any type of player.
No he really wasn't a large part in him hating Arkham Knight was his experience with the PC port his only other complaints was the tank battles and The Arkham Knight's identity that doesn't seem like dropping to a 6/10 just for that it was 100% because of the PC port that ruined his enjoyment
@@ArKnightham but the boss battles are way better in arkham city. Yes Arkham Knight looks way nicer, we get to drive the Batmobile, the whole gotham city experience is amazing, but the boss battles... I loved the boss battles in arkham city.
@@ghostxp5167 yeah I forgot about boss fights yeah that too but still it doesn't justify giving the game a 6/10 it's a solid 8/10 I was disappointed with it too but in the end it's a really great game
@@ghostxp5167 the voice acting is better in Arkham Knight too Kevin Conroy even said Arkham Knight was his personal favourite Arkham game and I can see why
I don't agree with that. Arkham Knight was awesome despite it's kinda underwhelming story, boss battles, and overuse of the batmobile. Like the other guy said, I think the PC port hurt his enjoyment a lot with the game. I agree though that City remains the best Batman game. Also the best super hero game ever made.
Only people hating on Arkham Knight are these PC gamers that have recieved an atrocious port from WB. So for anyone reading this comment and is interested to buy Arkham Knight on the PS4 and XBONE don't let these comments from PC gamers hold you back its the problem with their version just ask anyone who played the game on PS4 and XONE and they will have nothing but positive things to say about the game.

***** Best graphics for sure, but the fact i played it on the pc first really hurt, and i liked the batmobile but it was showed in your throat waaay too much, but as i said its my opinion,i still think its a great game
***** Maybe i will,i have a ps3 and a gaming pc,so far i had no reason to pick up ps4,but uncharted 4 is making it very tempting, but even so i still do believe that the story was obvious to anyone who knows anything about batman,i liked the joker parts those were great and by far the best part of the story, but the rest was kinda meh,on foot gameplay is excelent tho, when it wasnt freezing to slideshows or crashing
1 knight
"last performance of Mark Hamil"hehehe
It was suppose to be his final performance, you can look it up ;). Both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy said that Arkham City will be their last performances as their iconic roles, but they then surprised us all by returning to voice as their awesome interpretations of the characters in Arkham Knight!
@@Luke-xi2pq tbh Hamil was as great as always but age definitely changed conroys performance as sometimes he couldn't maintain the same pitch and the dialogue delivery was just above average..tho in Arkham City it was near perfect
Outstanding game, definetly in my top 20 games of all time, but I think Arkham Knight can be even better!
***** Can be? CAN BE!?!?!?!Why Yes I believe you are correct :)
***** it is, hove you seen the trailer
Ardeshir Javid You can't judge a game by it's trailer(s). Look up Watch_Dogs E3 2012 footage, the game looked great but it turned out to be wortheless crap.
ive seen the gameplay too, its amazing
12:00 It's just me or... that Was The Best Green screen scene that Joe has Ever done?
FPS players are like "Batman Arkham sucks all you do is mash x(square) the entire game." well all you do is hold the trigger button the entire game so..
Or maybe you can just play the games you like and let other people enjoy what they like
+Jeremy Sutton It's true.
+Quack Quackerson burn
+Pixel LlamaFox not really..
Not only that. Holding the trigger and straining the vocal cords over the microphone
Personally, I loved the story. It had great mode and atmosphere. It felt sinister and foreboding.
1. Batman: Arkham City 9.5/10
2. Batman: Arkham Knight 9/10
3. Batman: Arkham Asylum 8/10
4. Batman: Arkham Origins 7/10
Why is asylum so low ?
8/10 Is not a low rating.
It' great, but the others were better.
Origins was way better than knight
no it was the worst out of the series
+PlatinumKing 12 origins and knight we're tied but I'll give it to knight since it's completely finished
Make an origins reviewe
i do to :)
***** As a big Batman fan I loved Origins as much as I liked the first two, they introduced some really neat mechanics like the detective sequences where you can rewind and fast forward a reconstruction of the crime. Some people didn't like it as much but I think that was because it wasn't made by Rocksteady and people don't like change...
i love it to
***** Yeah I recommend it
***** yeah me to its amazing
Who else has watched this Angry Review multiple times? I absolutely love it, it was the first AJ video I watched a while back because it was one of my personal favorite games of all time and I was curious what others thought of it, I was hooked on his content ever since then and his opinions still help guiding me on what games are good or not good to this day!
I got this game for a dollar. Yay humble bundle! XD
Humble Bundle is the shit. You can pay whatever you want, and decide where the money goes. Humble Bundle, Charity, or Devs. You can even split it between the 3.
I also got Batman: Arkham Asylum and 3 other games for that dollar.
I understand. Sorry if I sounded rude.
my opinion:
Asylum
City
Knight
Origins
my opinion:
city
Knight
asylum
origins
FaZe Manatee That's the same as my order
FaZe Manatee That's my ranking.
why does everyone put origins in last i thought it was pretty good
Grillsen Didnt say it was bad, just said it wasnt as good.
This is on Steam sale for $5 :D
Still had to watch a review before I bought it hahaha! Thanks +AngryJoeShow :D
Am I the only one who hates the riddler side-mission because I can't be fucked doing all those trophies?
Nope
Hate them in Arkham City so far. I'm always busy and they distract me
It pissed me off, I wanted to quit but I said to myself, I got to beat his ass
I did them all. Come and catch me.
+Minigun101 you can't get the riddler's trophies cause you're dumb
i did play this game for 30 hours, like he said. But the huge problem with this game is there is no replay-factor. Once you play it once, there is no desire to go back and replay it.
thats funny.i play it all the time when i get the urge
same here i jump in when i need some batman whoop assery.
i beat it 20+ times, playing it right now...a lot of replayability for hardcore batman fans, like myself
The challenge maps are fun especially if you have nightwing and robin dlc
New game +. All the character trophies and unlocks.
An excellent review joe, on a damn near perfect game it is so good. Thank you
R.I.P Kevin Conroy, You Absolute Legend
Definitely agree with the review. I think everything about Arkham City is a step up from Arkham Asylum...except for the story. I just like the concept behind Asylum more. Batman being stuck inside Arkham with Joker and the rest of his rogues gallery having taken over.
Agreed. Stories aren't that important in terms of how the game is made, but still could've work off better. Thankfully the gameplay of City makes it up the most & it's so much better than Asylum. I love Asylum; don't get me wrong, but City is just a blast.
Batman Return to Arkham anyone?
Oliisawesome right now You can buy it on the ps4 for 25.00 untill 29th. Because it has a black Friday sale.
Now it's 19.99 on physical copies at least, so I think that's a steal for such great games
Or get it for $4 on steam
Percifulhd Ahh, I think the summer sale ended 2 days ago, my friend
my main gripe with this game is that its unclear if where to go alot of the time
i got lost so fucking much
Look up on your screen.
There IS a quest marker right in front of you....
you don't play games much do you...
***** It's called Detective Vision, use it.
3:00 he's not the only one who knows it's B.W, there's Hush as well.
damn i love the references in the riddles in the first game.
I really want to see an arkham origins review by angry joe, hope he finds time to do it
1. City
2. Knight
3. Asylum
4. Origins
I haven't played Origins, but Asylum was better than Knight. Knight was great, but it was worse than the other Rocksteady games.
weedwak It's just my opinion. I had the most fun on Knight.
1.City
2.Asylum
3.Knight
4.Origins
Black Gate
City
Asylum
Origins
Knight
+Zain Jim cuz it makes no sense
Rocksteady Studious should develop the "Amazing Spiderman 3" Beenox sucks!
Yep
Too bad wb owns rocksteady studios
7:09 SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THAT INTO A MEME. I'M DYIN XD
In the final verdict WHY 9/10 INSTEAD OF 10/10!!!!!!!
Infinity Dragon In my opinion Arkham Asylum was better.

Just about everything in Arkahm City was weak besides the characters and even then Batman himself is not really dimensional as we seen him in other things. You're talking about a game that takes place in 1 whole night. That makes no sense and it sucks. Combat is good but batman moves like a ballerina is my only problem it's too fast.
@@jmay2695 Hell naw
This is a great game. It took a while to get use to the game-play and fighting style because I've never played this kind of game before, but once you get the hand of things.. it becomes very fun.
I'm getting really sick of these random youtube audio cutouts. Now they're starting to affect important scenes of the reviews
It's because of copyright claims
I hate how they make the city like this inescapable. And then people like Robin and hush are like see ya batman, ima leave
Who hear thinks knight is a disappointment to asylum and city
amen
Arkham Knight Sucks
+Fallout Boy rip
+Fallout Boy It doesn't suck it's just disappointing
Glow Bat Very. I mean how can you have a batman game without the batcave? Asylum and origins even had one. It's even in the trailer but not in the game.
Just completed Arkham City for the second time, because it's easily one of the best games I've ever played
holds up today in 2021, its better than half the games out there for real, its my opinion but i feel like it's the truth
I fucking hated the catwoman sections.
Y?
Lemur Dawid maybe the the way she goes around the city
Maybe the mechanics
Maybe the difference in gadgets
Or maybe because he didn't
Dionisie Tarlev
maybe because he is gay
frost bitten That doesn't make any sense.
***** Well, it does.
"The only villian to know Batman's identity"
No, Ra's Al Ghul, Bane, and Hush absolutely know.
Catwoman doesn't know! (at least not in the game)
Do people still not realize arkham origins wasn't made by rocksteady but instead by Warner brothers Montreal which is why it isn't nearly as good as the other games
Also Paul Dini didn't write it
That explains everything. I was disappointed with that game.
Izaiah Reed I already knew that one. It felt so halfassed and the city somehow got smaller. Like how the fuck is that possible?
Izaiah Reed Fuck arkham origins. Technically it isn't a part of the series so I wish people would quit treating it like it was.
Jozombies115 I hate it too but it's confirmed cannon
There should be:
- Arkham Metropolis
- Arkham Region
- Arkham Country
- Arkham Continent
- Arkham Planet
- Arkham Star System
- Arkham Galaxy
- Arkham Universe
Arkham Knight: You Guys all think your better me???
Arkham Asylum, City, And Origins: Whatever do you mean Knight?
played through this game and I have to say it is certainly worth Joe's Badass seal of approval. This game really does rock. It feels like one 30+ hour long loveletter to Batman fans.
I find City and Asylum to be FAR better than Origins. Easily.
Arkham city was fantastic. As an adult I stopped playing games for years.. then I got laid off during the winter for a few months. Arkham city was the first game I played during my brief lay off. I loved it and now I'm very excited to play games. It reignited my fondness for video games.
I like how Joe put dragon ball z music in here😹😹😹😹
1:41
Holy shit that voice is so badass
Batman Arkham city 10/10
and angryjoe gave arkham knight a 6/10 *slow clap*
***** Maybe even less.
***** arkham knight was great
John Hunt no where near as good as the others.
Yea still a great game though people look at it and say it sucks it doesn't it's just not as good as the others
I just didn't like it for the amount of tank battles
Joe looks so skinny and different 😂😂
WHAT DOES T TAKE TO GET A 10/10!
Watch The elders scrolls V: skyrim review.
Emil August Olaisen yea but that's the only one, I at least thought gta v wuld get it but thts also a 9/10 so this is BS
for me a 10/10 is a game that let's u create your own fun.. GTA V was a masterpiece imo, but the fun u can create on your own is limited..
apercarlo hell yea
guild wars 2 got 10/10 with legendary badass mark

"weather or not it is better than arkham city is up to you"
really Joe?
why you did not review batman arkham origins
so what if it's a waste of time why did you comment
kenneth banzali You asked a question and he answered it.
we dinga
cuz it sucks
Arkham Origins does NOT suck, it's NOT a money grab and it's NOT a waste of time, AND you obviously DON'T have taste in games
Origins was such a massive disappointment compared to Asylum and City (especially considering I can never finish the main story in Origins due to a horrible glitch during the final boss fight)
What glitch?
i cant see where I am unless I pause it and I see the snapshot that occurs when the game is paused. otherwise it's just black and I cant see or hear anything...

This is the game that got me into comics and the review that got me into the game. Good memories.
Talia and Ras both now Batman's identity. Hugo Strange is not the only one.
Actualy Bane figured out that Bruce Wayne is Batman in a year...Bane....YUP BANE
Bane is a genius, bro, he spends his free time translating dead languages, is not a big surprise he found out about Batman being Bruce Wayne given this, google it if you want confirmation .
Zek0DaBunny why is that a surpise bane in the comics is insanely smart
darragh o halloran I think he's been watching too much Batman & Robin lol.
darragh o halloran because he gets portrayed stupid in his boss fight during arkham asylum, that or one of the movies probably caused that judgement of his character.
Zek0DaBunny thats why i love origins . Perfect comic references and they portrayed bane way better. He was such a threat and such a menacing villain
i'm here watching this again in 2016 because of the upcoming remastered version of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City lol , anyone else !
Leonardo Caelum me
Leonardo Caelum DUDE! If you haven't picked it up yet let me brighten up your day. It costs 25 bucks on the playstation store! Because a black Friday sale its 50% off but it only lasts untill the 29th so be quick or whoever reads this!
Saitama, The Strongest Man i actually bought the remastered collection day 1 missed this offer but its a damn good offer
Leonardo Caelum if only I was sooner..
when i got attacked by the shark i literally dropped my controller out of fear
Amazing! This perfectly encapsulates what I love about the character of batman.
I wish Joe reviewd Arkham Origins, but it's one those games who didn't got the attention they deserved, all beacause of the next gen bullshit!!!
He did a video on it, but he's since removed it. He called it a buggy mess, said it was pretty boring and it got about a 6, which I agree with. That game was a disaster for the series.
Arkham Origins is terrible, arkham city is way better
It wasn't that bad. Yea even though it was basically a copy and paste game, it did copy and paste Arkham City which still made it really good.
Hello, here 12 years later while replaying the game. 4:05 The ventriloquist dude is actually there as an easter egg in penguin's museum I noticed.
Can't wait for the remaster!
At about 15:00 he just basically said that his opinion is the will of God
OMG it's slender man!
jeff kill him
Can anyone tell me why joe didn't give this game a 10
1 Arkham city
2 Arkham Asylum
3 Arkham Origins
4 Batman TellTale
5 Arkham Tank
why did he rated batman arkahm knight 6/10?in my opinion it deserves more than that.
I really want to get into the Arkham series. Are they really worth getting?
REALLY
I've only played city but it is amazing.
Me too i started in city and wanted to go to asylum, assuming i got it(Arkham Asylum) as a present..
They're the best superhero games on the market, I promise you.
Last I checked, you can get both at Gamestop new in a bundle for $20. It's the best $20 I spent on games all year.
Joe is right about arkham Knight.
Arkham city was and still is, the best batman game ever created.
Nahh i have too many negative things to say but meh whatever
I played it on PS4 and it was slightly above average and a huge disappointment compared to arkham city
+MPPRODUCTIONSger Why is it that?
+TheWitchking123 I played it on Xbox One and enjoyed it more than Arkham City. But if Arkham City ever becomes backwards compatible, I will definitely give it another shot. I feel like I kinda rushed through it.
true
Wasn't there a new villain? Some guy that made himself up to look like Bruce? It was a side mission... wasn't it?
Yh this guy killed people, peeled their skin off and put it all over his body to look like Bruce
Yeah, his name is Hush.
I believe Hush will be the Arkham Knight in the new game ^^
Dark1Stalker Crusty Nipz123Thank you.
hush isnt a new villan
Silly Gir Hush isn't new.

Definitely agree. Most of those villains he named off aren't shitty at all.
2020.
I've been playing this through December on a PS3, yet I've reached an impasse.
The battle in the steel mill against Joker is just beyond me, and it is with a heavy heart I have to inform you that Batman dies in this room 😢.
There is no way I can find to ether skip this section, or even back away from it, & you can't turn the difficulty setting down during the game.
Batman is dead.
Scientist cmon when are we gonna get our shark repelant

Batman arkham city is the best game I have ever played. It deserves more than a 10/10 but the rating scale only goes up to 10 so it gets a perfect 10/10 without doubt.

this for me is a 8/10. Asylum gets a 9
Not gonna lie. Was loving that "Redler" performance he was giving.
