      Yes, I didn't sleep after the aurora so was wide awake at sunrise with only the birds for company!

      Yeah the morning after the northern lights...I stayed on to see the sunrise and it never disappoints in this beautiful area. Thank you for watching! 🙂

    Question - over time do places like this not get grown over by moss and the like or do the landowners (or grazing animals) actually do the maintaining? 😊

      Well, sites under State Care are usually tended by local councils and generally well maintained. At random sites like this one farmers would graze their animals and that keeps the grass low...other places I've been to are totally neglected and so overgrown that it's hard to even see the stones.
