This was the most emotional song from "Going Blank Again." for me at one point. I was having crazy sad nostalgia of the early 90's, but all better now hahaha. Ride always could rock out but at any moment hit you in a soft spot you were never ready for. One of the best bands ever.
Gawd the nostalgia! I was listening to Slowdive-Shine from the Peel Sessions on YT and staring at the photo of them, and they were so young. Set me right off! 90-91 and 92 were so special.
I love Ride! Fun fact: Japanese video game developer Grasshopper Manufacture is named after the Ride song. This company is of the most innovative of the video game industry. Thanks for inspiring Suda 51!
I'm closer to the sky then when I first left... free falling with gravity rushing me into her arms as the carpet of grass anxiously awaits my arrival, so long starry gals n planet peers earth is where I shall remain... waiting on my ride my Savior my God. Oh that was a proper rendition.
Incredible. Please put out another album and tour. Ride gigs are the best. Always a great vibe, great people and ofcourse, great music! RIDE/// Forever
Mi rola preferida de los 90s... I was so young... I bought the cassette in 92, I was listening in the bus, coming back to home from Monterrey, I get sad & happy at the very moment OX4 was at half... In 2011, I listen this hymn walkin in the desert of Bahariya in Egypt... I was crying of happiness. Thank u RIDE.
I love this OX4.2!! I just love the double right hand symbol dish from Loz in this, it is so Ride. Steve it is epic and highlights how much the bass is involved, for me one of my fav tunes of all time. Thanks for doing this.
Noticing a recurring theme of road trips and this tune. Mine road trip memory of this tune, and the whole GBA album, is from 1997, when a vanload of us drove the 5 or 5 hours from Sydney to Perisher for a weekend of skiing and general fannying-about. This album was on heavy repeat play on the trip. Glorious memories
Bass and drums working hand in glove. Ps thanks for coming to Adelaide Australia. We’re not a big city so we really appreciate you playing for a loyal fan base. Such a great night!
Absolutely love his version they did! The pads, guitars and loops added with what they both do are just gorgeous. And watching Loz play drums is just mesmerising - it's just so natural to him! Can't wait to see Ride in the autumn!
I see you're testing Nick Mason's thesis: that a rock band consists of a drummer, a bass player, and several novelty acts. I could dig out my clown suit and the big shoes!
always been such a great tune - the simple ones are often the best! love the bassline chugging through this track. was a highlight of the recent gig @ roundhouse where RIDE were fabulous.
Wonderful! Thanks for this moment of magic, during these particular strange times. Steve, I have been practising bass since the first lockdown, your basslines are inspiring!
Loz is one of the most creative drummers ever. His drumming was so much of the ride sound.

American fan here. Such a great "last song" on a great album. Growing up in the U.S. I listened to more UK bands than American.

Lush! Novemember though...
Is Steve picking the bass with an upward stroke while playing on the downbeat? Looks so; how weird.
