  • Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd gives details regarding a groundbreaking new approach to providing mental health and substance addiction services at the Polk County Jail.
    “Breaking down silos: Collaborating for a safer and healthier community”
    Sheriff Judd will be joined by Polk County Commission Chairman Bill Brasswell, social service provider CEOs, and representatives from over a dozen government agencies and non-profit organizations in Polk to announce and describe the STARR Program (Substance Treatment Advocacy Recovery and Reentry), a new public/private collaboration to enhance mental and behavioral health programming in Polk County jails.
