Willow Lantern How-To

Create your own willow lantern and be part of 2020's Oxford Christmas Light Festival by following artist Emily Cooling's instructions.
For this guide you will need the following materials.
Willow sticks x 10
Wet strength tissue paper
Wire and LED tealight
50/50 PVA and glue and water mixture
Masking Tape
Scissors
Ruler
Black Paper /Coloured Tissue / Coloured paper
Cover for table / bin bag/ plastic sheet

✨ Oxford's Christmas Light Festival ✨
Whilst the festival can't run in the usual way with Oxford's communities coming together in the city centre for events, the lantern parade and market, everyone is still encouraged to take part in a different way!
Fusion, along with other arts organisations and Oxford City Council are asking you to come together with the rest of Oxford for the Door Stop Moment on Saturday 21 November at 5.30pm.
We're calling for people to display something illuminated in windows, on balconies, on doorsteps or in the front garden. So we're apart but all celebrating together! 💪
