Thank you for using what you take and take only what you use. I contribute to an open pantry but kids go in and dump dry cereal and stomp the individual fruit cups in the drive way. People are using free food to cook and sell meals. Used to be called hustling. I am discouraged because our expenses have increased for our own food and bills. People don't respect that someone is providing their food. We stopped adding a "treat" because one person would take everything. For example lindsor choc for valentine's day. I put in 6 pkg of 5 each with a heart sticker. One woman took them all.
I appreciate the way you use the food pantries. No waste. You respect what is being done. We who can are happy to help.

Well,great haul! I go Tuesday to 2,they pick. My monthly walk in is last week on tuesday of month.😊 Today is my 24th ann,been together31.

I have been taking it easy this weekend. It is raining and 60° where I live.
Nice! I was reminded recently of a childhood supper. my ma made thick burgers, browned them and then poured tomato soup over them to simmer, basting and adding a little water as needed. It was my fave (she was not a cook). We had it with rice and corn as sides. I make it recently as a stroganoff and ate it with egg noodles. Delish, decades later lol. I know it sounds weird but it's yummy if you want to try something new.

All food pantries are short on donations
So many ppl are in need right now. I don't receive any assistance with food, food stamps nor pantries. There's no pantry near me. I'm disabled and it takes everything I get to pay bills and buy a little food. My dollar doesn't go anywhere near as far as it used to at the grocery store. Thank goodness we have a garden right now. I've been canning, freezing, and dehydrating vegetables to help us through the winter. Without that and my husband hunting and fishing, we wouldn't be able to make it. It's certainly a blessing but it's also hard work for my husband, especially now that I'm not able to help him any. I can do the canning, freezing and dehydrating a little at a time sitting down with his help. Ppl need to start going back to living in the old ways like our grandparents did, and also living on the land like they used to long ago.
