Default is not a death sentence, it is a mechanism to restart and recourse the things. No country disintegrated after default.

@@AsimKhan-ub5mj no one wants to be bankrupt, it closes your existing lines of credit plus an instant flux of inflation induces political uncertainty. It's a death sentence to the current government though.
You have to make hard choices. Default doesn’t mean debts are forgiven. They enter into agreement of rescheduling the payment. There would be instant of shortage of day to day items like medicine & fuel. It would create chaos which would disintegrate current establishment. Pakistan is fundamentally divided along ethnic, tribal & religious lines with number of well armed militias so situation can spiral out of control. It is interest of everyone including general public that we make fundamental changes for a better system. It wouldn’t be a just system but a more efficient system. And, international economic situation would improve giving our governments a little bit of breathing room before we face even more difficult times.
