This is honestly the best opening of the twilight saga. It’s a prologue that makes a movie look so much more epic. That opening shot of the moon is beautiful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. Yes, that needed to be in capslock because I really really wanted to know where this music was. I just KNEW it was different than the one on the score!
What did the theater audience vibe feel like when you all saw this opening? Whether it was opening night or opening weekend, describe what the experience felt like seeing this?
For me, it was intense and got me a little anxious because I wasn’t open minded towards cinema like I am today. I was 12 when this came out and my mom and I went to see it opening weekend or the second weekend it came out I believe. I was excited to see it after a whole year of waiting like many of us twihards were. This sequel felt like such a different movie than the first twilight we saw the year before which felt like an indie and nostalgic teen movie. This one was so much more epic and intense along with a bigger budget and it didn’t have the gloomy filter like the first one did. New Moon was very rule breaking for cinema as well so this was a very new kind of way of filmmaking.
I was invested immediately. The theater was full (or close to it) and nobody breathed or made a sound while this played. It perfectly set up the tone of the movie, and gave the series a much more dramatic and serious note than the first movie had. This is still my favorite of the films, and I rewatch it often.
New moon is my favorite movie from the series. Just because of Jacob. The music have lace of sorrow. Your tears gonna roll down automatically, when you listen the music and you feel the pain of Jacob. Team Jacob forever ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Said what you want about the script and story, but I thought the film had some great cinematography and overall styling (warm color tones, fashion, music, etc). It could’ve been a really amazing film if they’d punched up the script.
Say, can you get the song, Evacuating London, from the Chronicles of Narnia. The version that's heard in Prince Caspian? The scene when the siblings return to Narnia sometime near the beginning?
I got that annoying 30 second ad for clearly contacts in the beginning and usually just skip the ad, but it sounded like a spinoff of this... check out the full version at: ruclips.net/video/Acr_8KYbqq/видео.htmlY

@DamonsGirll22 That tune can be heard near the end of Edward Leaves by Alexandre Desplat, on the New Moon film Score
