Well done! It's sad Nissan threw so many barriers in the way of customers who want to swap out their battery pack, but thankfully amazing people like you exist to thwart their thwarting efforts 😂 Thank you!

The main problem with Nissan is that they don't have the back of their customer. They try to force the customer to buy a new Leaf rather than changing the battery. I would buy a new Leaf instead of my second hand one if Nissan had my back and provided the latest battery when I want to upgrade and provided it easily and at a reasonable profit.
Same issue with smartphones. Buy a new one once the battery goes bad, OEMs don't want people repairing their old stuff. This is why right to repair is so important
Hi Dala, cute, but if the VCM firmware is updated with a timeout function you are back to a dead car. How about you add a "Learn" button to you can bridge? Connect the bridge to the old battery, push Learn, move it to the new battery, and it will play back whatever it learned. Cheers - Mogens
Hi Dala. I have used the leaf spy for pairing zeo to zeo few times. Azeo to Azeo 24s, Azeo 30 to azeo 30, ze1 40 to ze1 40. I have not done different size battery. Like 40kw to a azeo 30 or 24kw. This is what need the cam bridge for, is that correct? I have found when pairing in leaf spy. It does this so fast, that if you blink you will miss the fault light go out on the dash. This is an amazing tool. Thank you Dala 😊.

This is a big project, since brake pedal info is not available on EV-CAN. So you need to be hooked up to both EV and CAR-CAN. Also it is not possible to quickly turn on/off regen, there is ramping in the VCM. Is the "universal canbridge" open for orders yet? I might just get one and prep my Leaf for a future swap :-)
Yes! Available here dalasevrepair.fi/can-bridges/

So how does it handle different capacity batteries?

Roughly one in 500 AZE0 leafs have light interior. No worries, same as other AZE0!

There is one issue related to env200 and newer Gen3 vehicles with this approach (more on that later), so Muxsan is not going to use this solution.
