Once for all is now old fashioned, once and for all being standard. The Oxford English Dictionary from ca. thirty years ago says "once for all, now usually once and for all".

I am extremely confused. So par means "per" as in distribution, EXCEPT in the case of percentage? So it's fine to say "trois biscuits par personne" - three cookies per person - but "trois pour cent des biscuits" - three per cent of cookies? And this applies to "trois biscuits pour vingt-cinq personnes". - Wait, So is PAR only used in distribution if it's a ratio of x over y, (x/y) where y=1 and x is any number equal to or higher than 1? As in: - "trois voitures par an" (3/1)? - or "Un an pour voiture" (1/1)? But if y=a number higher than x, we use the word "pour" ? As in: "cinq professeurs pour cinq cours" (3/5) So then why is Google Translate saying "cinq professeurs PAR trois cours" (five professors per three courses) but "cinq hommes POUR trois femmes" (five men per three women) ????
