The push button start was last used in the 50 Fords 51 and newer had key start. My dad had a green 49 Ford way back in the 50's.
the first car I drove, I was 11 in 1959, 3 speed on the column, had to look through the steering Wheel to see the road, good souvenirs
Sweet ride! A lovely car.
A knock like that coming from an engine when it first starts up is not normal.
The flat head Ford V8 had a separate water pumps for each side of the engine which explains the need for four radiator hoses.
Main or rod bearings knocking
I got a 49 black flathead one. Some surface rust. Not bad for a first car eh?
I love that color!
The 50 had grille extensions with the parking lights in them.
Is this Ford still for sale? I got the cash right now and I can change the color too
Sweet! ...your engine's main bearings are gone though, that's the knock you heard.
soulflower666 Shit, thnks man i'll pass that on to my buddy the owner.
I think the grille fog light was an factory option. I've seen it on photos in taken in early fifties.
Interesting item.
oops you got one older than me, i remember one my father had
I guess you are not familiar with older cars.
