Just thought I'd leave this here.
I had a really moving psychedelic experience listening to this. Thank you so much. I'm so full of joy and gratitude! Life is good!
I play this while my students are writing! I observe them getting into a state of flow much quicker, like the bands energy is transferring into the classroom.
I play this in my chemistry classes too. I don’t see an improvement in work, but I always see two or three kids in the class groovin. That’s what is giving me hope in these times.
very cool !!
I play this often while doing design work. It's impressive how my brain will shift to a much smoother "state of flow". Plus its a really lovely mix.
Aw
I play this for my students too except they all drop out, hit the road and become grilled cheese entrepreneurs on phish lot
Lakeview Amphitheater is BEAUTIFUL - it actually took my breathe away when I saw them there in 2016.. I can remember the walk in so so clearly, like it happened yesterday. Memories like that I NEVER take lightly or for granted! I am from NJ & I remember deciding to go the morning of the show, never having been to Syracuse & having no clue what to even expect because I put the plans together so quickly... WHAT A TRIP IT WAS. & a short trip too!!🤩
these mixes are unreal. the crossfades and weaving of moods is perfect
So happy to see the SOAM from Coventry on here! One of the most emotional jams I’ve ever heard live. Still feels like it was yesterday.
I put this on when I want to find a productive groove, Very meditative. So glad I found the list of songs.
What you have done is gods work please make more
This took me back to a place I have not been in a long time. A long long time.
This is single handedly getting me through law school
you can do it!
"A good lawyer knows the law, a great lawyer knows the judge"
@@Omegaphats Very true
This *got me through law school. If you're listening to this, you're on the right path.
me too!!
I’d love an entire show of this. My favorite kind of phish. The twist > Breathe jam is sublime
This is so good! Followed them on the fall 96 tour and this reminds me of the carefree psychedelic joy of those times
Curt Lyon - let me just say...this and your other mix are spectacular.
I like to listen to them in my basement and just go elsewhere for a little while.
you the man!
that's my favorite part of any Phish show - the part that takes you up and drops you somewhere else for a while.
Brilliant compilation along with Clouds. Helped me through my insomnia many times. The ability of this group to improvise never ceases to amaze me. Talented is an understatement.
phish should study this and play a whole second set named after your very title "sunken caves". Now that would be epic. Nice mix, my go to for dream sleep!
What you're looking for can probably be found in any of the 4th sets, or late night sets from festivals. Typically just an hour of them jamming, no composed songs
"The Drive In Jam from Magnaball is the JAM you seek." - Yoda
Clouds and Sunken Caves showcase what makes this community and this band so special.
Your two mixes are my current go-to PHiSH, not-quite-background music that's seamlessly mixed and paced. Really fantastic work. Please make more!
5 years later.... STILL THE KING OF PHiSH MIXES
Awesome, these are the types of Phish mixes I can get work done to. I always end up getting too into the show and my productivity gets lame. This is fantastic at low volumes, and HIGH volumes as well. Thanks for the great work!
21:10 or so and SHAZAAM all the DMT is flooshed outta my pineal gland and flooding my synapses that eerie forlorn cryptic noises makes me feel like some Carlos Castaneda shaman ish is happening all over again. Thank you Fish, Page, Mike, Trey, Kuroda and CREW for this amazing contribution to my life for , well.,., this year makes 30 years spending and saving and traveling everywhere I possibly could to let Phish have what tremendous influence and impact on me as a musician and a human BEING I honestly can’t fathom the last 30 years without Phish in my soul. Thank you too Phish fam community, you know who you are!!!
This is awesome Curt. Your "Clouds" ambient mix is my go-to background music for working during the day. Gets me in the groove to focus with phresh jams as the soundtrack. Must've played it a hundred times by now. Already been through Sunken Caves once. Dig the Quadrophonic Topplings especially. Thank you!
I always come back to this eventually. Such a creative mix! What a band and mix!
Love it! No nonsense. Straight to the straight dope. I look forward to peepin' "Clouds". Thanks for putting this together!
That Seven Below>Fukuoka Twist segue is silky smooth, beautifully done on the Fishman fade
nice editing man...this is easily one of the best edited flows I've put ears on. It takes some skillz to make this as smooth as it is. Kudos.
I see your Kudos and raise you to Kurodas!
This is just lovely. Thank you. ❤
Your mix brings me great joy. This is my favourite Phish Mix.
This is really amazing. Thank you for putting this together!
God yes please give me more, you're doing the Lord's work
Inspiration moves me brightly...
Curt Lyon you are killing it son!
Thank you! Love the attention to the segues!
I got a request for one of you next installments: anything from the Simple Jam that is like 28 minutes of transcendence. Also another slip into the night installment would be AWESOME. More pure funk from erry era. Rock on brothah
My goodness, man. This is beautiful. I'm very glad it came up in my queue...currently listening from Malaysia.
the comments of teachers playing this to their students'.❤️.. (my 8th grade algebra teacher 💯 turned me into pH in 00')
Slightly off topic, but that Landlady opener in Cuse was sick!
As well this marvelous piece of tapestry.
This is great for taking mushrooms 😎Just thought I’d state the obvious
Really happy you included the 12/30/11 Piper. That was a famously weak NYE run. There was no jamming and the band felt out of practice. Phish even mocked themselves with a training-themed 2012 tour announcement: ruclips.net/video/_4jkP9UfL0g/видео.html.
The notable exception was this Piper. This was the one time everyone felt the band relaxing and letting go, and taking the room somewhere closer and deeper.
My best friend was with me at his first and only Phish show. He was skeptical, and not overwhelmed by the show. But even he, out of his element and without context, quieted down and felt something special during the Piper. It stuck with him too. He left the show with a lingering, amorphous sense that somehow there was something more possible with this band, and this community.
So this is a particularly great memory for me. Even more so since he and I faded away years ago, and aren't currently close. I'm so happy I was able to share that moment with him, with the band, and with many of you.
The Cities from 12/28 was also excellent, but overall you are correct. That run was pretty awful, and I knew at the time I wouldn't be able to see them in 2012 due to being out of the country, so it was a total bummer. Hearing this Piper reminded me that even when they are playing terrible, there are still diamonds in the rough.
thank you so much for putting this together. i listen to this ALL the time!
So good. When I read your title the first thing I thought of was the Madison Simple (11/6/98). Happy to see it included. Thanks for your hard work in putting this together.
I can't stop listening. Wonderful mix, thank you
Ohhhh, this is heaven.
Best mixes ever!! That seven below was from the 6/20 show by the way. Much love!!
Those 04 spacs were mmm mmm chicken noodle
I totally called that Quadrophonic Toppling at Big Cypress
yeah me too
Dang man, wish you would upload more!
This Breathe Jam is the stuff Phish dreams are made of.
Reminded me of Floyd. Epic
I was there, it was incredible. St. Paul Civic Center.
The whole section from Breathe -> Carini is astounding. Goosebumps every time.
Great job putting this together. Keep them coming. Thank You!
I was at this show. I was the guy with the beard and long hair wearing a tie dye. Lol
Amazing...absolutely sensational! Way to go ,thanks brother!
Thanks Curt. Needed this today, after a long night of baseball last evening.
Please start making some phish mixes again! your ambient mixes are my fave!
QUADRAPHONIC TOPLINGS!!!! big cypress :) @ 53 min nice mix
the only one ever! I was there and was one of the few who stayed awake for the entire 8 hour set. like no other set of music ever in history, gives me goosebumps just hearing the quadrophonic topplings and thinking about that set!
@@marcusfoto i remember needing to piss at like 430 or so, I walked by so many people I was whispering sorry for cause I was cutting in front of face & they had they eyes shut smike look... It took me to the way back to my spot 80% were sound a sleeo standing up.
@@heals2004 hahahaha walkin thru the zombie wook minefield tryin not to step on anyone!!
Damn. That 2014 twist is gorgeous.
Seven Below is actually from 6/20/04 yet another breathtaking jam!
this is the shit. Such a versatile band
40 minute mark is perfection.
More plz I always come back here for a good year now
Really into that Carini 2/17/97 jam.
The way they feed off each other in this jam gives me chills EVERY time. Mike bass line is so money in this stretch. I wish I could turn it up.
The search for sunken treasure has many rewards to offer...
5:12 The Mike Taurus pedal bass bombs are always a crowd pleaser
This. Slaps.
MAGIC
THANK YOU!
**Medley F (simple 12/6/96)

EXCELLENT
this is so comfy
Amazing to say the least, so trippy
Great mixes. I linked your channel on Phantasy Tour.
Best one out of them all
Holy shit this is incredible. Thank you

Amazing mix

Awesome vids, keep it up!
16:20 this vibe is melting my fucking face
Pretty sure this is Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse NY.
I have a shot very similar, from Lakeview, too!
I wish everyone could experience the dead or phish at least once in their life, Widespread panic too
That Twist from Fukuoka! ~~~~~~~~~
#atmospheric i cant find any ambient atmospheric tunes like this ,
dopeness
this is fucking incredible.
Other Worldly. A means of ambient escape. Just press play.
HOW FUCKING AWESOME IS THIS???????!!!!!!
Well. This is cool as shit
The trick was to surrender to the flow
Amazing. Would love to know what the opening jam is from. Whole thing is amazing all the way through. Hail Icculus.
Love, love, love all these mixes. I checked though and there is no 'ASIHTOS' on 7/1/11.. so WHERE DOES THAT SNIPPET COME FROM? I must know!
This is terrific but a real bummer at the same time. The ads kind of kill the whole point of listening. Maybe you could provide a website or link where it lives ad free?
Ugh yeah I hear you. I don't have control over the ads. Sadly, my old laptop died and I lost the original files for most of my mixes so I can't reupload them elsewhere. I did happen to put Sunken Caves on soundcloud (a free account only allows for 1 mix of this length): soundcloud.com/hamjamhamjam. And I have Jumbled Events Vol II on Mixcloud: www.mixcloud.com/double_e_waterfall/jumbled-events-vol-ii-a-phish-mix-with-no-theme/
Let this also be a request to anyone who I've shared the file with in the past to share it back with me, since I no longer have it!
Nice
Very Pink Floydish around 28 min mark.
it is a pink floyd cover after all
Can you PLEASE drop this on Spotify??? Thanks for putting together
What’s the chance you would let me download these mixes? They are fantastic. Would love with out the ads
lakeview! was at that one
Awesome mix, do you happen to have an audio only version available for download? Thanks!
ok curt. these mixes are the shit. I think we are all ready for a yem vocal jam mix! whaddaya say? :)
Yeah! 8 hours of wash your feets & drive me to Firenze
What does “ambient” mean ? (I’m not from around here.)
At the 18 min mark...isn't that the jam from the Fukuoka Japan show in 2000?
What’s at 40:50? Love how Jonny boy is shining 🤹🏻♂️
Syracuse NY?
Great editing and selections but I'm puzzled by "sunken" caves? They're all sunken.
The first mix is called clouds, the second is called sunken caves - a la "clouds and sunken caves" from Waves.
Suggestion if you make another one: Steam jam from 7/26/17 Bakers dozen show. Straight up some Pink Floyd shit.
So true!!
Is there a list of which songs there are in order?
Is this pic from the cuse?
Fluffhead Think it's the old CPAC.
Yes, that's Lakefront Amphitheater in Syracuse. I was there...remember that sky well.
yupp, mango song at sunset braj. i member.
2016 was amazing at Lakeview... Dave's show even had a killer sunset. Hope both return next summer
Oh, Shit! Whats up, Brother?
