DANGER! You need to install tailgate supports that can withstand the added weight. Those cables are not designed for heavy use like that; they WILL fail. Years ago, I saw it happen to a neighbor as he was climbing up the ramp and they snapped. The truck's bumper broke the fall of his mower, but the sudden jolt caused him to fall off and break a collar bone... You've been warned!
Those factory gate cables support *1000-1400lbs* together buddy 👌 I don’t think him and his ride on weigh more than that. Your neighbor probably had some wear/tear/rust going on with his tailgate/cables. Sorry to hear about him either way. 🤝
so...question: what if I don't have the luxury or skill or help to remove the deck, would a straight ramp be better? there are so many videos on this, it's getting confusing. It does look like the lower the slope the better, which is accomplished by longer ramps. I need to get my mower in that truck. It's the only way I'll be able to get it to the shop, without paying a $200 transport fee.
Where's the deck on the mower...... does it get hung up on the arch..... read reviews that mowers will get hung up on the arch....... can you show video with your mower not getting hung up... wanting to buy that same style at harbor frieght...... but not much videos on RUclips of mowers with decks getting stuck or not..... thanks
HEY!!!! Are you not gonna unload so we we can see if they are stable??? Ramps are worthless if only one way. I mean really? Finish the video! Please. Sincerely. P.S, put the deck on and do it.
Going up looks like a lot of fun going down I Can Only Imagine

Back up to a curb to reduce height of bed. Back the mower onto the ramps going onto the truck.
Smart
How much for the gas can
I had a ramp move on me while driving up I've never driven up again, but good job though.

Why didn’t you show us backing it off? That looks like it would be scary
Why not load on reverse?
right? much better idea.
Front is heavy with riding mower if you have a short bed much of that weight will be in the tailgate
Also the wind will pull off the hood of the mower and could rip it off
he does not have a deck on his mower, I bought a set of these and my deck bottomed out at tailgate.
Looks like he took it off over there on the right

It does get hung up with the deck on, I think I wrote that in the description on the video.
