Clive is by far my favorite artist. I adore everything he’s done. I actually had the great fortune to meet him at Texas Frightmare Weekend. One of the coolest moments of my life. I’m currently rereading Imajica and just got new copies of everville and Thief of always and Mister B Gone

Great buy! I believe I remember that year, there was another painting for sale at that booth that I really regret not buying. Looking back it wasn't THAT much money considering. A couple years later I did buy a smaller painting of his from Monsterpalooza. It's a treasured item in my home. Thanks for sharing.

That is a thing of beauty. Would have loved to have seen a collaboration of John Carpenter and Clive Barker.

That Would've Been A Great Idea. As Of The Mid 90's Both The Hellraiser & Halloween Franchises Are Owned By Dimension Films.

I'm still sad that I didn't had the time to talk to Clive Barker at Monstermania Con 43. Got a photo op with him but I would have love to meet him and have my Hellraiser Vinyl sign. On the good side, I got the the chance to meet you Sean and get a selfie. The hard life of being a french canadian horror fan, the horror con are far from home.

Very cool. I met Clive in 1993 in NYC at a Comic Con. He was there to promote his Razorline series for Marvel Comics. Nobody was going up to him so I got to hang with him a while and talk about the movie Nightbreed. I still have the Razorline poster he signed for me.

Sean, got to you via the woo. I noticed when i was watching your videos, it looked like you were at the burnt offerings house in an introduction. . If so, do you have a tour of that?

I do use the term "friend" loosely. It's not like we hang out but over the years he has been very cool to me from inviting me to the Hellraiser III premiere to asking me to be an extra in Lord of Illusions. So yes I consider him a friend because we know each other and such. I haven't seen him in over a year.

They were limited to 999 total made for the 999 Happy Haunts Event at WDW Florida back in 2004. I was lucky enough to nab 2 of them.

2:35 // Art is an investment.. and under most Tax Laws there is a Capital Gain upon the receiving of proceeds from a sale...
eg: u buy art/prop for $1000 = adjusted cost base for said item (assume all sales' taxes and other costs to acquire the item are included, Gas to auction, parking ticket...etc IF u do not normally buy and sell).
if u had a knack for buying and selling on a weekly basis - witch craft u do not - you would then not include them costs into the ACB, just the actual purchase and sales' tax price.
BUT .. as the artwork and other props are used as content props.. U would be able to deduct a Capital Cost Allowance (even without selling the props) % off the purchase price, to deduct against any income from THIS Video/vlog.... at the time of view, only 2405 have watched, so the use of the CCA might seem a non starter. Woo knows this stuff, i dropped some notes months ago....
IF u do deduct any artwork thru CCA to offset any income(s)... from net, from use of house office, etc. IF u do...
then when u sell it.. u want to sell it for the lower value when u dont need the cash on Hand....
if u sell an item for cash on hand concerns, coin cerns, then u sell an item u have not used a deduction from.
after deducting over a long period of time, u can always GIFT that Prop or ITEM away knowing that U do not possess any value for any purposes.
eg: say i own a prop, show it off to business clients and have the prop also on the Net... proceeds from the Net are lowered by me using the artwork/prop thru CCA. i choose not to use the use of home office % as that is a separate business income, cant use the two deductions twice.
.... after 7 yrs, i do not want the prop as i have another prop to put in its place, but i have already deducted its value to ZERO......
if i sell the Prop for any thing above the value of the zero, there could be an addition to my income for tax purposes, a % ...
OR i can Gift the asset.. away for zero cash.. they might give me a receipt for a donation, but i never have to claim an income and there is NO recapture on the Gift of the Prop.
u have a Collection.. sales be rare but when u might sell an item/prop, always Take into consideration any tax questions. //
ITs smart to vlog a collection.. so that the artwork community will know that u have such art and that such art still does exist... perhaps show your catalogue so that Private Collectors can compare theirs to yours. High End type Owners handle this method... not for me.. lolol
good collection, well maintained... thanks for another wonderful upload.
