Hi there! First of all thx, great video. For those who has problems, try to open it with google drive , use google docs. This will fix automatically you document, it work for so far i can see at my store.
how long does it usually take to import products using the built-in feature? also does my laptop need to stay on during the whole time or will it continue to import?
Hi Meethila Rahman, The time taken for importing products depends on your server speed. Also, imports may fail if server speed is very slow and server time outs configured are lower end. Normally, in a decent server, importing hundered products takes a couple of mins max. You should stay on the page until imports gets completed. Using WooCommerce default import functionality, you’ll be provided with a real-time view of what is successfully imported. If you find our channel useful, please like, subscribe 🙂
Is it possible to upload variable products with the built in uploader? Also my products keep saying they are not in stock but I have the columns set up just like yours...
Hi, thank you for informative teachings. For CSV Import of the Product ID field, you suggest the following format: 100, SKU101 - would this format be used for every row in the CSV upload ID field?, or would the 2nd row be 100,SKU102 & 3rd row be 100, SKU103 etc? Also would this ID field format be restricted to 999 rows being only 3 characters?
Can one use a CSV file of products, stock levels etc., which is available from a supplier online. The supplier updates the product data as required periodically and makes it available to his commercial vendors at a URL where the vendor must enter a unique code. The CSV can be manually downloaded in this way but then one still must manually upload it to the Wordpress/WooCommerce installation of the vendor. The main criteria we require to frequently update is stock levels and availability at the supplier so as to avoid disappointment to users of the store when ordering. My question is, can the data be dynamically accessed and automatically be made to carry out the updates needed, perhaps triggered using a Cron Job? I understand that the mechanism could be a SOAP or REST implementation but have no idea how that works. Any suggestions?

Great video thank you! on of the main issues that i have with the .csv is that there are many commas (,) and tabs in the data, and this mess up the whole process as a text like this "Good morning America, peace" would translate in 2 columns if there is the comma delimiter! How do you overcome this? Thank you !!
If the text is wrapped in double quotes, it would consider the comma as a delimiter ("Good morning America, peace ") - wordpress.org/support/topic/importing-a-csv-avoiding-that-commas-breaks-long-description/

How do you go about importing variable products? i have imported my variable products and they are showing as variables but the children have not been assigned to the parent. Do i need to alter the CSV file in a way to let the importer know what i want to use for variations? in this case it will be size and colour
Thanks for the video. I have an existing store so I have downloaded the CSV spreadsheet directly from woocomerce. However when I make modifications and I try to save it, excel gives me the message where CSV is not compatible. Do you know why?
Hello. I read the woocommerce guidelines and saw your video here. I want to ask you : Can we use only some of the woocommerce demo csv file columns? I have only title, and barcode with numbers like: 000-123-4567 as columns. And image files saved as 000000.jpg. to match the same product title that I need to change it with someway. I don't have price, as an option, and nothing else to show and import. The only solution I am thinking to try is to export the current demo products of the template I am gonna use, so as to see it, and how it works and then adjust it with my products. What do you think is the best solution for me?
