My mother, when she got waaay older, would always buy the same things even if she had the same foods, unopened, at home. I found 20 tomato soup cans also from years and years ago. Lots and lots of the same cleaning products. Once they were put away, they were forgotten. It was very sad. She didn’t even realize it. This lady might be doing the same thing.
Did you empty the soup cans or throw away the whole cans. I haven't used my pantry for about 7 plus years. I have to go through and toss things but it will be a drag if I have to empty all. It's decent inside. I was thinking I should keep things for an emergency as time passed but I think it's time to toss them now and I'm trying not to buy so much.
@@earnold1896I might be too late here, but I would empty the contents personally. This way the bags will be lighter to carry and also you can recycle the cans/jars.

Actually our kitchen is really damp and some cans have started to look a bit horrible on top.

You can keep cast iron pots and pans from rusting after washing by drying it on the burner and then putting a thin coating of oil on it then heating on the burner again. The cast iron becomes resistant to the water over time.
I'm very happy for Irene, so many people become depressed and isolated when they retire. They feel there is no reason to get up anymore, they lose touch with work colleagues who they had known for years. I'm really glad she has found purpose in her life again, and it is thanks to you and your brother that kick started that journey, but she made the first step by asking for help. I'm glad she did.
I love that this cleaning is what it took for her to get back on track, and it seems like she was so proud of her ability to keep it moving forward. I'm so proud of her for keeping up the home and even going beyond where you left it!!

It is also a wonderful touch for a clean house. However, I wonder why you make it before cleaning the floor. Personally, I prefer to clean the floor first, then make the bed in my home, because I think the dust on the floor can make the clean sheets dirty.
I love the bedding! The animal on it is a badger which I also love, family friends rescued a baby one that i became friends with when I was about 5 years old.
