not bad, but you definitely need to take assassin instead of enhanced, and shade is definitely not a useless class, she's an elite killer big time. if you try cloak of mist you'll see why, cloak of pain is just the boss killer setup, hence your misunderstanding.
You're right 100%. Wish I had made this video now that I have more experience with the game you know? Also really wish I knew how stagger worked at the time.
Team: wants a fun and challenging boss fight to test their cooperation skills Me: goes shade, forces the party to test their cooperation skills with only 3 people
Hey everyone! So clearly this video is a little older, when I didn't have the knowledge of the game that I do now. So, like the title says, don't take it too seriously xD More content to come!
Is there going to be an update on the guide in reference to parrying? I still do not fully undertand how to best do it. XD If I ever get a parry it is by accident.
The main issues are going dual dagger instead of sword and dagger, because the only advantage you get from dual dagger is applying bleed with every attack instead of every fourth. But kerillian attacks pretty much three times per second, with more cleave and more stamina. Pick javelins for her ranged weapon and then she has pretty much infinite ammo on a weapon that can not only kill 6 rats in one hit, but also one-shot body-shot any special or elite, and two shot chaos warriors. And you can also use it as a melee weapon against armored enemies. From infiltrate, a heavy attack with sword and dagger is going to deal 500 damage to multiple enemies, so you can pretty much take out an entire patrol on your own, while a charged melee attack with the javelin for some reason does 750 damage so it's awesome to use on bosses. She also gets 20% damage reduction and 20% attack speed every time she crits if you take the talent for it at level 25 and have the trait on your sword and dagger weapon, so you can literally just stand in a horde and spam left click. Then get a necklace with reduced stamina cost and boom. You can parry-dodge for dives in stealth for guaranteed procs, you put bonus attack speed and crit chance on her sword and dagger, every shove attack is also a stab if you want to apply an urgent bleed, and you've got amazing horde clearing, immense boss damage, and also instantly kill every special or elite you run into, with a ranged weapon with infinite ammo that also doubles as a second melee weapon. Oh, yeah, and sword and dagger with some gear reaches 30% crit chance with approx three attacks per second, so her attack speed and damage reduction buffs end up being permanently up as long as you're fighting. She's good against hordes, elites, bosses, in melee, at range, the only thing she can't do is sit AFK in the middle of an enemy mob holding down right click like the tanks do, or apply stagger counts, so she ends up being a very selfish career choice, but DAMN is she good at killing literally everything in the game... And if you're decent at playing her, you should literally never die.
According to the armory mod dual daggers don't apply bleed on every attack. You also failed to mention that you can not only use the stealth parry passive for the crit procs but to oneshot evrything including cw on legend by dodging past them for the backstab bonus ontop (think u need dualdaggers for that). You just explained the most comfortable shade playstyle while the gladerunner glascannon build also exists for more risky and movement based and thus, for some people, more fun gameplay. Also while sword and dagger is more versatile, it is extremely buggy when ulting and will consume your double strike with a single attack, making dual daggers for boss killing even more viable. Lastly there is also shimmer strike which in my opinion excells in cata, elite/special dense maps/deeds and fortunes of war and afaik there is no experience equal to stack hunting with 20% movement speed while risking to unstealth inside a horde because you killed a non-elite or was too slow
I disagree on the extra crit power, jtcLIVE did a hood vid on why crit power is kinda smeh, power vs x helps on regular hits AND crits while crit power only does it on crits, so ultimately you get more out of the headshot bonus talent than the crit power one, even factoring in with other skills for shade, but this is an old guide so it definitely has changed since you made it
Yeah switched my build off of crit power to exquisite huntress and my cata runs were so much easier. I still run crit power on a few guaranteed crit builds that are mostly focused on monster killing or on builds that I run in legend. It’s pretty situational but it works.

Dude, cloak of pain is useless shit. Wanna Shade-dongliz-broker just take cloak of mist, spear (cuz he have crit damage bonus), stick crit damage in everything you can and destroy. Profit, you eliminate patrols, hordes, bosses and can 75% map run in ult.
I disagree, i absolutely HATE handmaiden. Not only does she look like absolute shit, the entire setup built around that career is just so god-awfully boring and mindnumbing,.. Regardless, would you update this for the newest patch (SoTt)? Alot has changed apparently.
I'm not blaming you for hating handmaiden. She is a very specific type of playstyle IMO. Don't die and pull of sick clutches, but not exactly popping off in the damage department lmao I'll probably make an update video yeah, but I want to do a couple other careers first before I do you know? (I don't even play shade as much as other classes you know haha)

Nevermind elites, dual daggers, with some swift slaying and smart ulty use she can merc everything.
@@Aracii I agree, CoM shade is busted rn

even after 300 hours i still freak out when someone deletes a boss/lord in seconds. That's because I understand the pain of a prolonged boss fight.

This is incorrect, dual daggers have a better heavy attack sequence for elites and you can't chain kill Cataclysm chaos warriors without dual daggers.
This is great content
The hell? Where are the rest of the vids, its literally golden content
Love the content mate!!!
Dude great video !!, Best shade video out there.
great vid bro, looking forward to more
"Shade is not good at wave clearing". Have you ever tried sword and dagger ?
Sword and dagger/Javalin says hello
You’ve made a lot of good points here.
Just found your channel. Come on bro, time to go through some other classes.
Considering the full rework, will you be making a new video for shade?

Nice video!. I suggest you do mercenary Kruber next. ;)
The Spinemangler... I remember insta-kill him with the grail knight and two head hits. ^^
The faces of my co-players ...godlike. ^^
garf what the fuck? Wheres zugma balls!?!??!
shade is much like Spinemangl
That's a strange way to say dagger+sword =3 pretty good breakdown, though
This guy is pretty fucking funny.
Hey nice video
I think that Shade should have the choice between being a melee/ranged fighter, or full on melee, like GK or Slayer.

My friend plays Shade, he always dies first lol
More you degenerate

He says jesus when he's praying for Sigmar smh
One of the best clas to kill bosses an clear patrols
But... Accualy sot is one of stronger harrakters to cles patrol an bosses xD
Make a handmaiden guide 👍
I've been thinking about it. I just need to motivation to make the video you know?
